I tend to think some people place too much emphasis on right tackle with a right handed QB.
**THIS DOESN'T MEAN IT'S NOT IMPORTANT!!!** - For those that will jump on my case.

So moving our best linemen outside and Smith on the opposite, I don't have a lot of confidents on the middle with Williams-Bladasz-McGovern. But it will be fun to see how things go.

I thought they (the middle) handled a tough assignment in Tampa quite well.

Just playing devils advocate, Martin has a guard body. Maybe it's harder on his body to play T? Didn't he get injured last year playing RT?

I wonder if it has anything to do with compensation. He gets paid to play guard but if they move him to RT hes not getting compensated like a top RT
I'm sure it's everything. Not compensated, last time he played the position he got injured, and playing 4 or 5 games at tackle then switching to guard pretty much destroys his chance of making pro bowl and all pro team

Prescott checked out of 12 running plays, plus the ones they actually ran were mediocre at best. The run game got abandoned. Prescott also go sacked and hit a few times. It wasn't a clean pocket. Not to mention that Elliott was a madman in pass protection. I don't hold the O line very high. I think it did enough to get by.

They performed better than I had ever expected against that front, arguably the best they will see this year. And giving up just 1 sack is a big PLUS for me, not a minus.

Prescott and the WRs are in large part responsible for that. We could run and there was a lot of pressure. Chargers are solid too.

Sounds like we watched two different games. I give credit to the offensive line rather than blame.

i saw a combination of things
i saw some blocks where our OL play sustained well ... i saw solid blitz or chip blocks by ZKE ..... and i saw Dak wonderfully fast-read and even faster get rid of ball despite the incoming pressure
All up very well to a astounding near 60 times that night.

Not the greatest quote. Even if you want to discuss it behind the scenes with coaches, you should tell the media "I will do whatever is asked of me for this team to win."

It is clear he wants to play guard. He is on his way to the HOF as a guard so it is understandable that he does not want to move to a position he clearly believes he is not as good at.

He has also made it plain, and showed that last year, that he is ready to step in for emergencies and things like this Collins mess.

Zack Martin did not SELL HIS SOUL to the cowboys. Some self righteous types here need to UNDERSTAND that.

Some people here worry about the silliest of things. Just sit back, relax, watch whoever is out there, enjoy the game, and hope for a victory.

Quit stressing over a druggie OT getting suspended. That druggie doesn’t give a rat’s rear end about you as a fan or the team. Let that sink in and move on to Steele or Nsehke or Farniok or all three.

Did Jerry and the coaches know that LC was a druggie before the draft or free agency?

i think so.

The ultimate blame as usual is Jerry's.

He should have arranged a solid swing tackle to take care of things like this and he failed.

Actually you are completely wrong. The reason he had draft trouble was completely unrelated to drugs. So stop claiming you know something you clearly don't.

Neither of our swing tackles have done anything to lose their jobs at this point..stop crying we heard you the other 56 times you’ve said that...

TY or Steele should given every opportunity to do the job they were in camp for all offseason..if thy both fail then you move Martin over in a pinch..

No we shouldn’t have drafted a high OL lets chill on thi until it becomes real issues neither of our OL is hurt its coved caused them to miss or suspensions that once again are puzzling. We need the defense to play better so the offense doesnt have to drop 30 to win.

not many people on here think Steele is up for the job.

that’s why peeps are crying over ZM turning down the RT job.

I meant this year.

did they know LC was dodging drug tests?

if so, then why not draft his replacement…
