He is long, athletic and possesses plus ball skills.

LVE has epic athletic measurables in so many respects. Fast, long, explosive, an incredibly TNT leaper. The biggest problem, IMO? A high center of balance that makes it hard for him to change direction and to deliver heavy hits with leverage.

And quite frankly he is too good a person for the NFL. This league doesn't reward generous, thoughtful, ultimate humans...the kind of human we should all aspire to be: good friend, reliable neighbor, family man, contributor. A guy with an actual soul and a friend you would die to have.

Nope. The neck injury was a game changer. He's not the aggressive player he was as a rookie. He's a version of Jaylen playing to not get injured. But now that he has taken up the cause of players being called out on social media, maybe he's found something he can sink his teeth into. AWHOOOOOOO!
Let’s see how he plays with possibly more talent back there. Maybe just maybe Jaylon was getting help from LVE and Parsons. If your having to keep a eye on your partner because he is going the wrong way then it slows you down. Neck injury should not slow is speed of play. Maybe hesitant to hit but he is making solid tackles.

What are you talking about? Jaylon played nowhere near LVE.

my guess is he is what he is. He's a run stuffer. A liability in the passing game.

Being able to spell is not about winning an argument, it just shows who's brain functions better. Better brain, better thinking. Your thought process sucks. ;)
Yeah you’re right. One slip up during typing and I’m an idiot. Good one. Your brain is more scrambled than Jerry’s and everyone on here sees that so

In my opinion, he still isn't healthy and probably will never be. His best asset coming into the league and as a rookie was his coverage abilities. He is long, athletic and possesses plus ball skills. I think this is where the team envisions him, being able to play within the nickel defense, but what I have seen thus far, he has been the opposite, better against the run then the pass.
Yeah I don’t even see him in much on nickel. Neal is getting most of those reps and sometimes even parsons now. Hope he can regain his game cause he could help bring this defense to a whole other level

He plays well at times and at other times he gets caught up in the wash. Remember, he was a 1st round pick too. But Parsons is already looking better than LVE, and he is playing like a rookie LB.

After watching the Panthers game last night, I noticed 2 things. First the DL was giving up some big holes. Second, the LBs were often over pursuing and allowing cut backs, or they were getting cut off. LVE is a big guy and he should be able to take on some of those blocks and win. But when he over pursues to the outside, he takes himself out of the play.

Not really... He looks fat like Zeke was last year. He didn't earn his 5th year option and is like another football primadonna looking for a quick exit out of Dallas.

Based on what I saw Sunday, I would say no. He looks like he's protecting himself and not really cutting it loose even when he's in position to make a play.

I think he looks decent. He’s not a liability on the field like Jaylon and when he was out last week I thought it was noticeable.

However...

He is nothing like he was his rookie year and does look a tad chunky but maybe he was told to,beef up.

It was all about the $. Jaylon had it in his contract that if he was injured this year his salary would be fully guaranteed for next year. Thats why they cut him.

I know.
A small crowd is starting to form against LVE.
It seems they think he's worse than Jaylon.
The film and I disagree.

Folks thought I was unfairly picking on Jaylon the past few years and excusing LVE.

Trust me, LVE is putting bad tape out there. I’ll be making some GIFs of him soon too.

Your such a homer. He hasn't been playing well at all. Average at best.
LVE has been good. Not elite, but good.

He often plays man coverage on TEs and on those man coverage snaps his man rarely gets targeted.

He has been solid against the run. We'll get a better "picture" of his play now that Jaylon is gone.
- In general, there were plays that when watching live appeared to be LVE's fault, but on review were almost always Jaylon's fault.
- They play Nickel or big Nickel on a majority of snaps which means 2 LBs on the field.
- On a run between the tackles, the RB should never end up outside of a LB.
- If a LB gets boxed out right/left, he is expected to error on the side of keeping the RB inside.
- It was a repeated theme that RBs would get to the outside on inside runs & it was almost always on Jaylon's side.
- It happened multiple times early in the Panthers game and they eventually benched Jaylon.
- I'm certain that they would love to keep using Parsons more as a pass rusher, but he played primarily off-ball LB vs the Panthers.
- When Neal returns, I expect to see more pass rush snaps for Parsons again.
