Seriously this is a shocker for me. And i am not happy for him either.

The guy is such a cancer to every locker room. Such a cheap self-promoter.
I wish him all the best when it comes to his health. But the worst when it comes to earn money.

He is even worse than Jeff Heath. And that guy would warm the bench on every triple A college team.

I have no more words on the Jaylon Smith question. At least none that won't get me perma-banned.

Thank God he's finally gone.

So he is getting about 5-6 million for the rest of the year

Of course, the Pack will pay him the minimum because Jaylen gets paid the same either way, as the Cowboys are on the hook for the rest.

Given he's pocketing that much, it only makes sense he'd go a place where coaches will play him a bunch so he can cash in *next* year

Blah, Blah, Blah.. Jerry this, Jerry That..

I realize that some on this site have to always have someone to blame for anything that goes wrong. And the easiest and lamest excuse is “blame Jerry!”

I didn’t hear many people complaining ab Jaylons contract after his ProBowl season.. na.. bc most GMs would have done the same deal, but Jerry doesn’t have a crystal ball, so NO ONE could have foreseen Jaylon’s drastic decline after that season. Most believed he was just scratching the surface of his potential and would only get better.

Unfortunately that didn’t happen.. but go ahead if you must, blame Jerry. Just know, hindsight is awesome.

Can’t believe his contract didn’t have offset language. What was Jerry thinking?

Back in the day Jaylon's contract looked team friendly. In retrospect it was clear pretty quickly that Jaylon and his agent came to Jerry with that early team friendly deal because they knew about Jaylon's physical regression before the team did.

Dudes making $7.2 million this year alone from us and people are shedding tears for this dude?

Today, Jaylon is a backup with Green Bay. o_O

Maybe they'll be happy with his abilities. ;)

May his new home give him success. :D

Even the Packers are not dumb enough to pay him hardly anything, much less waaaay overpay him the way Jerry and some fans here like to overpay for some Cowboys players.

And we wonder why we have not even sniffed a conference championship game in 26 years???
o_Oo_Oo_O:facepalm:

I thought he'd get a little more, in the $2 million range. That's a really good deal for them if he ends up starting, which I think he will.

You had to know that GB was only going to give him vet min salary. Jerry has to pick up the remainder of his 7.2mil contract for this year which was guaranteed for injury back last year. Jerry's fav's know exactly
how to pick his pockets. At least Stephen was looking out for next year. Jaylon is now just a "paycheck" player week to week.
