I see this as a combination of roster management and not wanting to disrupt the mojo we have going by forcing change too quickly.

My player had to have it popped back at the emergency room and it swelled up quite a bit. It happened 5 days before the next game. Wrapped it up and put a brace on it. Good to go.

sounds like your player was Rambo and Gallimore is clearly a wuss

Sounds like there's more to it than a simple dislocation.
:facepalm::facepalm:

elbow joint has 3 large bones with VERY tightly binding ligaments. If one of these bones “pops out” esp of hyperextended, there is a good chance one or more of these ligaments are affected. They take time to heal esp in a DL who has to use arm strength for leverage. Something may have happened to your player but expecting that to be the norm is not reasonable.

Don't need a lesson, I've been around sports injuries for 40 years.....been around many emergency rooms and doctors appointments for myself and mostly with my players.....

We are going into week 8 of Gallimore's injury and still not word of him coming off IR. He had a dislocated elbow with no ligament of bone damage. 8 weeks seems like a long time.

I am expecting to get word soon that he will need season ending surgery to repair something in his elbow.

If we rush everyone back we are going to have roster number issues.

No one is hoping for injuries, but they are going to happen, and the more time you can buy while things are going well may allow us to keep a player or two that would otherwise have to be exposed.

Long season. We need everyone.

I want to see Gallimore and Joseph out there also. It'll happen in due time.
I think this is a substantial factor. More good players than roster spots. The team is doing a great job of maximizing the players under the team’s control using IR and the other list.

He wasn't cured, he didn't have a disease.....his elbow was popped backed into place, a clean dislocation like we were told about Gallimores......took anti inflammatory medication and strapped on a brace for the next 4 weeks. Thats why I said, I feel there is more to Gallimores injury that meets the eye.
Hook em!

Yep, they are handling it right.

I rip them enough so I like to also acknowledge when they do well.

Osa has made the most of the opportunity to start.

I’m glad to get Gallimore back to add depth, but Osa is better.

That Diggy guy is looking great!! What was he, a 3rd rounder I probably scoffed at? Love that player. Maybe with Tank and Gallimore back we can actually be a good defense without turnovers. Any word on Tank? Is he out for the season?

Yup, Osa was a 3rd round pick.

I don’t watch much college football so I usually don’t have much to say regarding the draft. I’m just glad we got him!

Tank should be back a little after the bye week, but I haven’t heard any recent updates on that.

Injured reserve is an ice chest for coaches. When they feel they need Gallimore, they will pull him out, pop his top, and put him to work.

Exactly. Right now, the Cowboys have players just chilling on IR.

Ball has been out for 8 weeks with a supposed sprained ankle. Cut Nsehke and watch how fast Ball returns. If a TE gets hurt, McKeon will suddenly be available. Need a CB for some reason, boom, Bossman Fat miraculously recovers.

Pretty smart. Other teams are doing the same thing. It is a mini-farm league.
