Yeah they beat the Packers 21-6 on 7 Boniol FGs earlier that season. I really thought the Cowboys had gotten their crap together that year when they clobbered the Vikings in that wildcard game. Emmitt looked like Emmitt that day.. But the thing that stood out to me was how bad Troy looked that year when Emmitt was not dominating. I think he had 2 picks and no TDs against the Pats and an INT with no TDs against the Packers.. Then of course that forgettable 3 INT 1 TD performance against the Panthers in the playoffs.. Though I can't be too hard on him for that one since I think both Mike and Deion ended up getting hurt early in that one. But that does remind me of how hard people are on Dak when he hasn't had good receivers.. I think those people should go back and watch how bad Troy looked when he didn't have good receivers.. QBs need guys on the other end to get open and catch the ball.. They tend to look bad when they don't.
Yes I was at the Panthers game. One of the worst game experiences of all time.

Yeah I think Irvin broke a collarbone and would have been out the rest of the way anyway. I remember that as a silver lining...I mean, ya know..... Winning the next week at GB would have been a tall order regardless.

Another interesting thing about 96. Each conference championship loser didn't exist as a franchise two years earlier.

Jacksonville and Carolina became good extremely fast.

If they win this one handily this place will be sickening the next two weeks.

When the Cowboys win in convincing fashion— you need to go ahead and embrace the reality that you simply do not possess nearly enough piss to put out the bonfire of Cowboys love, goodwill, and hope that will be blazing lol

I know you will try your best though. And I respect the hell out of you for that lol

At this point are we still thinking division and rooting Rams today, or are we closer to one seed thinking and want a loss on them?

I'm a little torn there, but I don't know that the Giants are going to evolve into much of a threat for the NFCE either way.

Cowherd says the Patriots cover in this game because the Cowboys lack a pass rush. He has the Cowboys winning 26-24.

Yeah I remember that people had complained that the league had made it too hard on expansion teams when the Bucs and Seahawks were born so they set it up a little more favorably for the Jags and Panthers.. Then when those two came into the league and immediately went to conference championships they decided they had made it too easy and flipped it back the other way. When the Browns came back they were handed garbage.. and played like it.

Qualify for a playoff spot, then division. Once division is secure, then pull for those other 3 NFCE to win to worsen their draft pick slot.
Once division is secure, then HFA.
Well, never to early to pull for HFA to have other teams lose, but not at the expense of the division title while still up for grabs.

But a NYG win over the Rams, as long as we win would not upset me terribly.

So far the weather is cooperating.. The weather report is still showing 60-ish with no rain and just 10-12 mph wind. If the weather stays good the Cowboys will win by two TDs.

Does he know the right side of the NE OL is out, and on the left side, a player that has returned was just activated from the reserve list yesterday. And has not practiced in two weeks?
Oh, it is Cowterd...it doesn't matter, he is a hater.

How the hell did the refs miss this call in the Miami/JAGS game. That ball never hit the ground and it was more than obvious.. but I digress..

Speaking of the Miami/JAX game.. why do they pronounce Tua's last name like it has an N in it? Not only does it not have one but there actually is no N in the Hawaiian alphabet which is what Hawaiian names are typically based on.

It also helps us if the Dolphins win this one. Eagles own their #1 pick.
