I can't remember ever hearing about a player refusing to report after a waiver claim. Usually they're happy to find more work on an active roster.

Either there really are some personal reasons or Knight just really wants to be here and asked a coach for advice on how to handle.

As far as teams go, is there a better team and opportunity as an OL than Balt right now?
Seems like a perfect place to go but a FA can negotiate a new contract
I read it was personal reasons but who knows

So what does Knight do now? Wait another day or two before telling the Ravens he’s ready to show up, hoping they’ve changed their minds and moved on?

I have to think he’s in limbo at this point in time.
I would think that if the Ravens want to force the issue, Knight can either become a Raven or retire.

They signed someone else it looks like, so maybe they will let him go.

If he made it to Baltimore in the waiver order, many teams passed and he will probably be free to return to Dallas, which is what he probably wants to do.

Fine by me, I want him back. He isnt great but I'm very worried about the LT depth and Tryons health, and at least Knight has played LT in an NFL game. I'm not a Nsheke fan at all, although he held up well for a dozen or so plays last week.

Baltimore is like any other city, they have bad areas and good area, I live 30 minutes outside bmore, my sister in law lives in bmore, she has no issues where she is.

If Brandon fails to report per Ravens right to pick him off waivers, then i would think that he would NOT be able to return to Cowboys camp of anything
. .unless Raven relinquish his waiver rights ?

He was one game short of accruing a season of experience too. So, if he sits out the year, hypothetically, he would still be a ERFA and not a RFA

Odd. Guess he doesn't like Baltimore or wanted to stay in Dallas.

So, if they signed another OL, doers Knight go back into the waiver queue?

They cut him to make room for Collins I believe. Maybe practice squad.

I disagree....I lived in Baltimore for a decade and went to college at John's Hopkins.

The city has degraded so much over the years and the crime has over run even the nice areas like canton...it's unfortunate bc the inner harbor was so awesome around the early 2000s and things got much worse.

Still a cool city but it's rough....can't beat a crab pretzel from dockside!

I valeted cars in Little Italy for years during college and you used to be able to run right across the street to enjoy a night at Powerplant after work. I wouldn’t even try doing that now. Harbor East is about the only nice area, even Fells has gotten rougher over the years. It’s really a shame because the Baltimore food scene is pretty good.

So if the ravens release him will there be any blow back if JJ signs him to the practice squad. Not sure if he was waived/released from The Cowboys and we wanted him to go to practice squad and he was picked up or if he was on practice squad and being poached or picked up by ravens. I think maybe FO wanted to keep him but ravens nabbed him.

It's a chance to play in the league. I guess I'd make the best of whatever situation. Maybe when you've already been afforded the opportunity that mindset changes. Surprising though considering he has a lot to prove still.

Exactly, if it was about the area, he doesn't have to live in the area, Annapolis is 20 mins away. DC is 15 minutes away, Howard County is very nice and 15 minutes away.

I think he wants to stay A Cowboy. Hoping ravens release the waiver since they got someone else.
