Another example of why you don't reach for positional need. JOK had a health issue which caused him to slip but it's relatively mild nothing like Jaylon Smith. I think he would have been an excellent scheme fit. LVE and Keanu Neal likely won't be back next season.

Joseph is a special teams baller, has balled out every time he's been asked to play corner this year in the regular season and even took an ejection to defend his teammates in the worst referreed regular season game in NFL history... I think Bossman is a keeper. I think he will be a stud CB2 across from Diggs very very soon. He is very fast, quick, talented and smart as a cornerback. Anthony Brown tries, but he's just not talented enough. Joseph is a baller, he will be a keeper and look like a fantastic pick very very soon.

Maybe...but getting jabril so late takes some of that perceived possible miss away.

Joseph has time to grow and CB was such a need. If anything I'd bring up Asante Samuel Jr. Cause they play the same position and asj has been really good imo

Joseph has gave us no reason to regret our selection yet.

In fact he’s a high upside player.

He looks like a JAG. Another Chidobe Awuzie at best. JOK will be a Pro Bowl player. He would also allow the Cowboys to use Micah more as a pass rusher.

Not hindsight. I wanted JOK when the Cowboys were on the clock in the 2nd round. He was by far the best player available.

After taking Parsons in the 1st round, taking JOK would have been a mistake. The perception of the 2020 defense was they needed upgrades at CB so the Cowboys attempted to take a CB. I think Joseph will be okay for a 2nd round pick. He got derailed by injury so his 1st season may not be what we hoped. But honestly, this Joseph pick getting more criticism that the Wright pick in the 3rd round makes no sense to me. And have you watch Golston play lately? He is just awful.

No but hes not here

the post was dead when you posted

hes not available the drafts been over 6months now get passed it it is in hindsight. Its a pipedream, its moot subject..we had great draft from where i sit and that still not seeing how KJ will play,,

we drafted MOP might be hof LB and Cox who will be very good so a cb in Joseph and wright were needed and the jury stil out on who will have a better career,, OK! it is hindsight you are creating scenario that never happend, cant happen and wont happen.,,

Three year rule. I remember an ongoing debate when we took Ware and the Chargers took Merriman who quickly fizzled by the way.

Folks are also forgetting we signed Neal prior to the draft. I imagine JOK would have played the same role so the FO may have thought he would have been redundant. It’s easy to look back in hindsight and say different but these are all factors that go into personnel decisions/roster building.

And then 6 years later when you see that LB in the Pro Bowl every year you can remind yourself you didn't select him because you had just signed a vet to a short term deal.

This is why you don't approach the draft like it's veteran free agency. One's to plug holes. The other's to acquire talent for your future.

yeah, I was really high on JOK, but once we drafted Micah, after signing Neal, Kazee and Kearse, seemed dead in the water.
