I don't know the answer to that.... I was just noting how immature and unfiltered Fangio is. He's a good defensive coach though, as Bill Parcels once said, Football is not a game for well adjusted people.

I am not completely against this idea. Zimmer had really good defenses when the Cowboys had no names on defense so I am curious to see what he could do with this defense. But I don;t think Zimmer will come back to Dallas if he is fired by Minnesota.

Who actually likes working with Harbaugh? And if Jerry offered more money, he would come here. And as a DC, I would rather have the weapons in Dallas than in Vegas.

I can see how Quinn is a candidate, but I have NO idea why he is a frontrunner this year.

There aren't many openings.

Pedersen is out there. Rumor has it Harbaugh is looking to return.

I'm forgetting at least two other options.

Why replace Fangio with Quinn? To me that seems extremely lateral. If you move on, hire the opposite....not the same guy (excellent DC, questionable HC).

I wouldn't bring him in for weeks: too many cooks.
But I love the idea of paying him to come in for a day and talk about what they did against us and why, what they saw when scouting us. Get some outside perspective on the self-scouting.

Good with Fangio or Zimmer. Zimmer would still be an attractive HC candidate though for some teams.

Would he want to take a year off?

What's MM's relationship with Zimmer seeing they both have battled one another and know the conference very well.

Fangio more a 3-4 coach and Zimmer a 4-3 coach.

I think Jerry would want Zimmer more than Fangio, what would MM want and would Jerry yield to MM's preference? lol!

McCarthy is gonna want a hybrid type DC ,..one that can operate for both 4 man ..and 3 man fronts ...

i've known Fangio to be a 3-4 scheme guy ..dunno if he's went hybrid,
but i wouldn't be surprised if senior asst defensive coach George Edwards (an already inside guy here) gets the new DC gig if Quinn leaves ....
