Cowboys getting zero respect

Respect isn't given, it's earned.

And, the Cowboys haven't exactly been stalwart on offense of late, and let a group of second stringers on the Eagles run the ball very effectively. The 49ers have one of the best run designed schemes in the league, and will be a real test for this defense's resilience against the run.

Couple this with the overall lack of playoff success the last quarter of a century, and the skepticism is very understandable.

That being said, games are won on the field and not in the media. If the Cowboys want their respect, all they have to do is go on the field and get it.

The one thing that gives me hope that the Cowboys can handle the 49ers rushing attack is getting Hill and Gallimore back full time. Obviously they both missed most of the season and have been pretty much part timers since coming back. It's time for Quinn to shorten up the rotation a bit and turn those two loose side by side. I think they both have the size and short area quickness which will make them hard to move.. and if D-Law and Gregory set the edge properly they can control that stretch play. If they don't they will see it 25 times on Sunday. And they will not like the way it looks..

That cardinals destroyed this 9ers team by two touchdowns last time they played. I swear our fans think every team is a juggernaut before we play them and then they are puppies immediately after.

To be fair most fans only watch the other teams' highlights. Every team looks like a juggernaut in their highlights.. but if you watch their games in their entirety you get a clearer picture of who they are. The 49ers are dangerous because they have two major playmakers on offense in Samuel and Kittle and they WILL run the ball no matter what the score. The good news is they have an inconsistent QB who turns the ball over a lot so if we can make the game about him our chances of winning go up exponentially. They also have a really good pass rush but their DE's are a bit undersized.. If we go big boy football and run at them we can tip that matchup in our favor. The front seven is solid but Bosa is the only true disruptor.. We have to figure out early if Collins/Smith will need help with him. If they send Josh Norman out there at all it should be an automatic deep shot. Dude was never fast to begin with and he's molasses slow now.

The difference is that the Cardinals play the run very very well. The Cowboys, not so much.

The comedy around here is priceless.

Trysten Hill. Run stopper extraordinaire.

Not that my take matters, but I will share anyway..

Lets be honest with what we've seen with this team over the last 25 years! We have failed to get over the hump and beat the top teams in a consistent manner, even this year when we've had chances to beat teams like the Chiefs, Bucs and Cards, we didn't get it done...

Having said all of that, if we're being honest with ourselves as fans, we understand that even the so called elite teams have had ugly loses as well as games they barely won with the help of the refs...

At this point in time it's completely natural to not have faith in our Cowboys based on the past, but truth be told, we have as good as a chance as anyone to do some damage, so at this point it just seems natural to me to be optimistic and enjoy the playoffs...

If you would of asked me or any other fans of our Cowboys back in the 90's how we would do in the future, none of us could of predicted the epic failures that awaited us..
Our spirits have been crushed too many times to really be optimistic at this current place in time, but there is no reason that we can't try and be positive and hope for the best and savor the opportunity..

As a Christian, I have to wonder if Jerry and his obsession with money and superficiality is costing us in Karma points..

Respect requested is seldom acquired, it must be earned.

Until they prove that they are not who they were and who many think they are, that is who they shall be.

And let's not forget the required Dallas Cowboys media card that must be played. Doesn't bother me in the slightest what the talking heads think, this will be settled on the field.

I can't recall the last time we lost a Wildcard game at home. Disrespect all they want but Cowboys will come out with the W!

this morning on GMF. The whole panel basically thinks they are losing this week. Saying pretty much same old Cowboys. Said they really didn't beat anyone this season. Until the Cowboys make a playoff run this will always be the narrative and it should. Here's to hoping they finally shut some people up because the truth does hurt.
I watched the same show this morning and started laughing at them. As you quoted they stated the Boys really didn't beat anyone. But ten minutes later they stated that Philly is going to give teams problems. I might be wrong, but didn't Philly beat the same teams the Boys did and they also lost to the Boys? SMH

For so many this is about Dak for me it is about the Dallas Cowboys, it is a football team and the team consist of an offense and a defense and as a team they need to go out and produce to win. I'm sorry but this Dak agenda BS is really old and stupid. To win this team has to go out and play quality football period. That includes Dak but not Dak alone. People evidently are so fricken consumed with Dak they do not see the simple fact and the simple truth that it is a team who wins. If Dak goes out puts up 300 plus yards and throws a couple of TD and we lose what difference does it make if he played good? It is the team who must play good ball to win. Ask GB they have one of the all time great QB and yet has 1 ring from many season ago. It takes more than a QB and yet so many here are so dense they can't figure this out, so we get hundreds of Dak threads. If this team is to achieve what I am guess most of us want then it will be the Dallas Cowboys who win, not the Dallas Dak

The Media spent the last 2 weeks, before the Colts game against the Jaguars, claiming that the Colts were the team that no one wanted to see in the playoffs or that the Colts were the most dangerous team in the AFC. And now they have switched their narrative to the Niners being suddenly unbeatable and invincible.

I disagree.. Goal post movers will never stop moving the goal post. If the Cowboys win the Super Bowl they will immediately explain it away because somebody got hurt, or somebody had an unexpected bad game or they got a lucky bounce and next year will prove it was a fluke. You can set your watch by it.

I agree if the Cowboys win the wildgame game, the media is just going to talk about what the Niners did wrong or they'll say something like how the Niners are overrated and not that good after all. Therefore the Cowboys deserve no credit for beating them.

It's a tough match up.

San Fran can run the ball and we just really aren't great at stopping the run. They also have a good DL which can cause problems for our OL that has struggled.

i don't blame them. even this years version of cowboys is inconsistent. it's tough knowing which team will show up.

i can almost see us losing because of a missed extra point.

but i believe the defense will get us the win

don't see how MM survives if the cowboys lost at home this game . but jerry has surprised us before with his blind optimism.

Yeah. But we've seen the way to disrupt Dak is to get pressure and the 49ers have the DL to do that against our OL. And we can't really "protect" the passing game with a quality run game. The OL has struggled run blocking and pass blocking against quality fronts.

Conversely while Jimmy G is worse, the 49ers aren't built around him. They are built to run the ball. And we don't stop the run well.

Doesn't mean we can't win. But the matchups are a reason why many think the 49ers can win.
