Does anyone think Dak is better than Romo was?

They are both above average. The Cowboys were fortunate enough to get them at discounted draft and udfa positions. They both flirted with elite level play just enough to give us false hope. But Romo is in the booth and Dak is under centre so I'm in till the wheels fall off.

Your reputation and disapproval Prescott. Even when he does well. Shows you have no integrity of the subject
Critical of Dak yes, acknowledge when he does good yes I do. Take homer glasses off Dak is really good against scrub teams and 3rd string D's but unfortunately, he is what he is against good teams' average at best. If you can't see the truth, it's on you, Dak was terrible yet again in a game that meant something. Did Dak do well yesterday? Only a homer would even hint that he was. Admit it he played poorly and was a major reason for the loss, you can do it, use your brain and you you will see the truth.

I was livid when Romo wasn't even given a chance to compete in 16 and basically tossed to the curb like yesterday's trash. I mean Romo had his bad games. But to me,Tony was definitely a smarter QB as well as a better passer. Seemed to make lesser WRs better. Dak should be all world with this talent and he's not. He's an average QB propped up by the talent of the roster. Give him lesser receivers he's below average.

Romo = Matt Stafford. Good stats but poor results.

If Romo had this talent around him like Dak does, this team would actually contend for a SB.There’s no doubt in my mind.Romo could actually make people around him better unlike our 40 million dollar man who needs people around him to make him look good.Scouting report on Dak coming out of college was spot on.Great leader, but struggles w/ accuracy at times and slow to process at times w/ poor pocket awareness.

Yesterday was “early 2021 Dak”, he just wasn’t getting the same defensive looks he benefitted from early in the year that had you all fooled into thinking he was a killer.

Exactly.. I always wondered why teams played so much cover 0 against Dak, even with how good our OL and RG were. The Chargers don’t normally do it anyways, they are a cover 2 defense most of the time and Dak was awful against them in his second game of this season. The Colts in 2018 with the same base defense shut this offense down. Tampa Bay was awful and even they stifled Dak, but the defense got us TOs in the red zone that allowed us to win, though Winston looked way better than Dak.

Teams have basically stopped doing that ever since Denver, including reducing their blitzes and Dak has been ‘exposed’ to the mainstream, though it was obvious to those paying attention for years.

No where near 140 million. That contract will hamstring the Cowboy FO for years.

In 2013 Romo received a 103 million dollar contract, which at that time made him the highest paid player in team history and essentially gave him a 7 year 119,5 million dollar salary through 2019. And this was Romo getting paid, even after he started to get injury prone. So it's not like he signed a super cheap contract.

He didn't get all that money cause he got hurt. You have to look at the guaranteed money that he got.

Romo got too aggressive and was a gunslinger that sometimes paid off and other times it backfired.
Prescott can get too conservative and won't let his receivers fight for the ball, leading to sacks and stalled drives.

Both can put up good regular season numbers/FF points but I'm not seeing anything yet that says Dak is a playoff level QB.

So, it's a wash.

And if the Cowboys still failed to get to the Super Bowl with Romo, with Dak's teams. Some could always still attempt to play revisionist history and claim that Romo had no help or talent around him on the 2016-2021 rosters. Just like many pretend like he didn't have help or talent on the 2007 and 2014 rosters. While constantly downplaying the teams Romo had. But then accusing Dak supporters of making excuses when Dak fails to get the job done.
