That was DAMNING analysis on Dak and Moore. But nothing I haven't said previously.
Jerry has wasted this franchise's talent on Jason Garrett and now Kellen Moore.
The Cowboys aren't the team to be experimenting with, yet that's what we've done for 25-plus years.
It's frustrating, but there's nothing we can do because it's going to be this way as long as Jerry owns the team. :(

Wonder how many will say warner doesn't know what he's talking about.

They don't say it directly, but if you present his arguments to others without attribution, you'll be called a Dak hater with an agenda.

Wow.. just wow. Without the gunk and fluff.. just a complete break down of EVERYTHING that is wrong with Moore and Dak.

There were so many perfect examples there but I the one I'd go to would be 23 mins and 30 seconds. Show that play to Jerry and explain it really slowly... and over and over and over until he gets it.

Standard play would be 3 hooks on backside and hi/low on front. Moore has added a wrinkle with the slot play a diagonal route. This should be an easy 10 yards every single time for a team with the quality we have. All Dak has to read is if the front side safety bites on the diagonal.. if he does bite (and with the speed of our slot, he will turn his hips fast) then you should immediately recognise the Hi/Lo you have generated with the TE and WR. In this case, the LB actually gets planted and covers NEITHER. We had TWO very very easy completions for either 8 yards or 18 yards, the OL protects Dak.. he has more than enough time... unfortunately Dak doesn't EVER turn his head to the front side.. he never checks if the Safety has 'bitten' on the diagonal.. never assesses the Hi/Lo openings.. he is 'locked' on his now double covered WR on a curl.. he then hitches (TWICE) to give that CB plenty of time to come back.. and predictably the play is blown up.

So yes that video shows plenty of evidence of why we need to get rid of Moore. But there were some cracker plays that WORKED perfectly to create open guy/s but the QB doesn't even get close to identifying them.

So we have a QB that is just not up to the task. And that is even without looking at the inaccuracy. So half our battle is getting Dak to find the right receiver.. then he has to actually throw the ball.

You can see why we beat up on weaker defences.. just by sheer 'our guys are better than your guys no matter where I throw it' type strategies. As soon as we go up against quality.. where you need to rely more on schemes to get guys open.. we fall apart.

How ANY coach can watch videos like that (and there are plenty) and still think Dak deserves a game.. let alone a 40M contract.. just baffling.

Grrrr now I'm angry all over again. Stupid fans worrying about a ref taking 2-3 seconds extra to spot a ball.. meanwhile your 40M QB can't identify a simple Hi/Lo route.

Nah, wait till next year as Coop and Gallup will be gone the offline older and Zeke slower........
Prescott will be booed at home on a regular basis.
I've already increased by Bourbon order as the upcoming "best of Dak" demands it!

P.S.Between the refs and fans he will be lucky to make it to the locker room....

I heard Dak will be in an even better best shape of his life next season.

So buckle up NFC East!

Brutal analysis. And dead on. Dak and Kellen failed the franchise. Don’t see a silver lining until Dak is gone unfortunately.

Gonna be a loooooong offseason. And probably an excruciating 3 years. Stock up on whiskey now…. Gonna need some medicine to get us through the doldrums

You know why. Because most QBs are more like Dak than Rogers or Brady. Forget your personal feeling about Dak and ask yourself how many QBs in the league currently can just sit back in the pocket and pick apart a very good defense week in and week out. A defense that can get to the QB with only 4 rushers and 7 playing coverage.
Not many.

Most of the current good young QBs beat it by escaping the pocket and making an athletic play while scrambling or they are a running QBs who can outrun the rushers and LBs. Go watch highlights of Mahomes, Allen, Larmar, Murray etc. Half of their highlights are passes from scrambling or running around. That was same for Romo when he was younger before he got better at reading defenses. Dak was able to do it also before the calf injury this year. That's why he got the win and was able to pass for most yards vs Belichicks defense. Half of his good passes were him throwing on the run scrambling. If he can't throw accurately on the run anymore, he is going have issues moving forward.

1. Bad play designs (that’s on Moore and MM)
2. QB unable to read defences (that’s on the 42 million dollar man)

nothing we didn’t know
Just more evidence
All I see is a horrible scheme.

9 times out of 10, Dak is hung out to dry. Predictable pathetic routes with no hot routes. Even when he was pointing out hot routes on some of them, the wr isn't looking.

Yes, Dak missed some plays, it is going to happen when you drop back 43 times. The penalties, lack of run game, and zero explosion back in routes magnifies the ineffectiveness of the pathetic pass scheme.

This is a continuation of the Cards all 22 for me....we have scheme issues and need to scrap boy wonder.

This is very much an accurate assessment. He even mentions that this isn't specific to Dak or Dallas and it happens all over the league. We have a bunch of inexperienced uber-talented guys playing qb who have no idea what they are looking at.

In Dak's case, i feel like he knows what he is looking at and knows where to go but our scheme is horrific, our line is horrific, and his options are none. These horrible routes for 3rd and long are just a wonder we get any 3rd and long conversions.

this is quite interesting,it shows that not only is dak not seeing the right places to throw, his receivers are clueless too.
this all reflects poor coaching.
If there is a blitz and dak does know who to throw to, but the rec does not change his route to the hot route and look back quickly
he doesnt have the throw. On one of the blitz no one changed their route lol or looked back, that is pathetic.

receivers have to read the defense and what is happening too , not just the qb.
