I am sorry, but you are dreaming of you still think Tyron is playing at a top 5 level. That is just not remotely true.
It doesn’t even matter. He plays half the games healthy then 1/4 hurt.

I haven't started by draft prep yet, but heard it's a strong TE class.
May be
I just looked at a couple of top 100 rankings and didn’t see any rated very high
But we could sure use a complete TE because Jarwin isn’t any better at blocking than Schultz, can’t stay healthy and not as good a receiver
But we need lots of things
Hopefully guys like Ball and Farniok are real because that’s really helps

Moving away from the Sean Payton talk, let's try to project which veterans could be cut in the offseason and have a follow up discussion on projecting whom they resign.

Potential Veteran Cuts

Zeke-he isn't going anywhere this offseason, but there is an out in his contract after next yr. It would be wise not to restructure his deal.

Amari Cooper-there is an out in his contract this offseason. I believe they save 16 million if released. You would think the decision is to keep Cooper or pay Gallup and Wilson.

Collins-there is an out in his contract as well. Believe it's upwards of over 10 million in savings. With the emergence of Steele, you would think Collins has played his last game in Dallas.

Tyron Smith-extremely frustrating player. When he plays, he is still a top 5 Tackle in this league, but he cannot be counted on to play more then 10 games a year. Think until he plays falls off, they will continue to manage him.

DLaw-there is no chance he plays on the 27 million cap number this season. He missed the majority of the season and is now over 30. Either they look to rework his contract or he will be released. Did say after the 49ers game, he doesn't back to come back. In the heat of the moment, but it is very possible he is done here.
project? Do you mean predict?

Doesn't look like there is a true 1st rd TE, but there appears to be some of day two to chose from.

You think they cut collins to save 10m? I highly highly doubt that
Agreed. The OL is already short on depth as it is. Yeah, Lael looked less than great this season but I don’t think his bribing $@# is going anywhere quite yet.

It's unfortunate & ironic that the Cowboys clearly have a choice to make between their two tight ends. Jarwin is already under contract on a very affordable deal, though Dallas could free up about $4 million in cap space by releasing him. Doing that might not help them much w/Schultz, though, as it's good guess his deal is going to be tough to afford.

I think Schultz is going to be hard to keep. The Cowboys can slide Jarwin back into the starting role at a more affordable price, & they'd be in position to get a compensatory pick for Schultz in 2023.

Ty Smith is still a above average player. Of course he gets beat every player does. Even if we rearrange the OLine The hole that smith would leave would cripple this oline. And dak isn’t gonna elevate any lineman or offensive lines with his play recognition abilities.

I agree
Jarwin is cheap
Schultz is gonna get big money and for a good reason. He’s a better receiver
They seem to like McKeon so hopefully he can be the next Schultz and we may be able to add a guy too

That’s kinda what I see
Very early but no standout guys
And it’s a position that takes some time to develop
Even top prospects don’t always hit the ground running and some good ones were not first round picks

Despite the Payton thing (why would he be better than MM anyway? I agree. Just cut them all. We had our go with them, didn't work out.

So just cut them all and try to trade everyone with a fat contract and no trade clause too. Start over now. Better sooner than later. So the team is ready when Daks contract runs out and Jerry gets Burrow or MacJ for an assload of money.

You almost gave me a football boner with us getting Burrow but then you immediately say Mac Jones and my dick fell off.

I’m fine with a stop gap veteran and drafting one to develop
