This year feels different.

/sarsasm
Until this team changes attitude and gets tired of the (one and done is good enough) its alot of effort for nothing really exciting. Jerry is making money and the players are getting paid, but the fans are slowly growing very tired. especially us old guys. :(

The 2022 schedule, 1st place schedule, which really doesn't make that big of a difference as it use to. Even then it was somewhat over played.
Now with FA and teams usually change about 30% roster wise. Teams can flip flop from 1st to last and last to 1st in each division every year.

There are 3 games different in each teams division on the schedule each year.

Dallas opponents W / L % from 2021 records is. .462, combined records of 133-155-1
The difference is we play 1st place teams in GB, Rams, Bengals. As opposed to the Eagles, they will play the 2nd place teams in the Vikings, Cardinals, Steelers.
All 5 of those 6 trams there can look very different next season. Bengals being the exception, they should stay about the same.

Let's state the obvious: barring injuries, if the Cowboys don't win a minimum of 12 games next season, it will be a disaster. It's not unreasonable to think they could win 15. Why? They have hit the trifecta of playing against the three worst divisions in the NFL next season (NFC-East x2, NFC-Central and AFC South). On top of that, two of their most challenging opponents (TB and GB) are facing rebuilds because of giant changes at QB (it's 50/50 Rodgers returns to GB) and cap issues. And their 17th game, albeit against the Bengals, will be at home this time.

After surveying the evolving landscape of the NFC next season, the teams competing against the Cowboys for the top seed will be precious few: LA Rams and maybe Arizona. The 49ers will most likely be moving on to Trey Lance, essentially a rookie. GB would start Jordan Love. TB will start ??? And I really don't see any up and coming teams to replace them.

Sure, say I'm looking at this through homer-tinted glasses, but look at the schedule and tell me where I'm wrong. (The AFC, however, will be a beast next year!!!)

Home: Eagles, Giants, Washington, Bears, Lions, Bucs, Colts, Texans, Bengals

Away: Eagles, Giants, Washington, Packers, Vikings, Rams, Jaguars, Titans
you are WRONG

thats straight CRAP its not a disaster unless we dont make the playoffs and win few games..lmao 9ers came from the back to make it happen..you dont need specific w-l record its simple make the playoffs and go from there. Setting up YOUR expectations on this team only by last year's team records vs next years schedule is stupid. Sorry its straight ignorant.

they have to plug 20 holes in this roster that are our own FAS and get some other issues resolved add in we dont know how any of those others teams drafts and FA go and wht team they are fielding then when we get to August we can start debating this.

the fans who come in here already to make these ridiculous claims do it so they can come whine hard if they don't win 12 games. So ignorant!

In case you missed it, this team had a playoff game at home, set numerous records, had impeccable health, and still managed to lose in the first round of the playoffs.

Benefit of the doubt just left town.

Yeah to only have one player miss the season, Cox, was truly an amazing year of health after the previous. I wouldn’t count on that happening again.

This was our peak season. Going back to mediocre after this. I should be shocked but it's typical cowboys homers already predicting a 12 win season.

If the NFL has taught us anything, don't rely on last year's ranking, don't take games for granted, and any given Sunday.

……it also taught us that 12 wins in the NFC East shouldn’t be cause to schedule a SB parade through downtown Dallas quite yet.

The NFC East plays the NFC North so all teams play GB, not just Dallas.

The 1st place opponents are Tampa, Rams & the Bengals.

The 2nd place opponents (Philly) are NO, Cards & Steelers.

The 3rd place opponents (WFT) are Falcons, 49ers & Browns.

Yeah, thanks, I got GB flipped with TB and the divisions. Thanks for the correction.
It was a quick response, as I was trying to get the post done as I need to run outside to do something real quick.
Well, that is my excuse anyway.

Certainly not. We got ruined by injuries in 2020 and were incredibly fortunate in 2021. And it ultimately made no difference. We managed to lose anyway.

Won't matter because this team still has Dak as their QB. Since that Denver game teams have truly found his kryptonite and any half decent defense will cause him fits. He can't beat any playoff teams.

this offense is irrevocably broken, any team who which has a good dline can completely make our offense one dimensional by stuffing the run even with playing 2 high.Dak is not tom brady,he cannot carry this team with no run game, the only fix is getting atleast 2 new olinemen who can run block.

Too early to make predictions. This team has a cap issues to figure out and a lot of free agents. The O-Line needs addressing. We don't know what changes the other teams in the division are going to make.

Huh? So the team whose QB was coming off a compound break in his ankle, who then hurt his shoulder in training camp and then pulled a calf muscle in game 6 was in "impeccable health?" The running back playing on a torn PCL was in "impeccable health?" The left tackled who missed 8 games with a high ankle sprain was in "impeccable health?" Or maybe it was the DE who played on torn meniscus who was in "impeccable health." Oh wait I know I know.. it was the other RB playing on a torn plantar fascia who was in "impeccable health." Or how about the receiver who missed the playoff game entirely with a torn ACL.. maybe it was HE who was in "impeccable health?" We can declare a lot of things about this team as it finished the season.. but having "impeccable health" would not be one of them.

This team could go 17-0 next year and I still wouldn’t be confident in them winning a playoff game

It would all depend on how they were playing down the stretch.. If they were barely squeaking by and basically getting lucky to win I might agree with you.. But if they were boat facin fools all season and were hitting on all cylinders down the stretch I'd be trying to get Super Bowl tickets..

Wow. You go right ahead and blind yourself to the facts if you need to. My fandom doesn’t require me to do so. Nor does it require me to come up with pathetic excuses for this team’s ongoing failings.

You have fun with that.

It's not going to be easier I think. We will lose some key pieces this offseason. The draft is not a guarantee. Our team is going to get older. I think it is a bit naive to think we are going to be as good next year as we were this year.
