Pay doesn't determine the standard especially if you got paid based on potential.

Pay doesn't determine the standard in a non-salary cap situation. It certainly does when you're taking up a fifth of the entire team's cap.

If you are constantly going to bash Zeke, the OL, WRs like Amari, Jerry Jones, the defense that gave Dak a league leading amount of TOs as new opportunities to score and Kellen Moore for Dak’s play…

Then you have ZERO business acting like Dak is some victim to unjustified criticism and that there are so many posts criticizing poor Dak..

Why do some people hate so much on our team :( So much hate.

Its the same people on the QB, but most are just fed up with the owner and hearing the same thing for 27 years now. I will never hate this team, I am however starting to hate the sound of the owners voice and hearing him say the same things over and over and never actually doing anything about the main problem which is him. Again no one can really know whats wrong with any of the teams we have had because no one can legit tell me who is calling the shots besides said voice. Do i want a great HC yup but how will he coach when he is not calling the shots, Do I want great players ABSOLUTLEY but how do we dismiss players that have left and literally say the owner sets the lineup based on anything but performance. Again the easy thing to do is hate on players because admitting that the owner is in fact the problem means we are screwed with no way out.

Dak player like crap against the Chargers in game 2, because the Chargers have their base defense as cover 2 shell. There was no calf injury for Dak-stans to latch onto.

Dak’s best game ever as a Cowboys came against the Bucs in the first game of the season, with basically no pre-season to get up to speed, yet none of the Dak-stans use the excuse of ‘coming off a surgery and no pre-season’. Coincidentally the Bucs almost played exclusively man coverage abd didn’t shadow a safety over the side of Cooper and the OL and Zeke were pass blocking like mad.

Of course when Dak broke the Cowboys TD record against the Eagles pre-season roster, Dak-stans were quiet on the calf injury, just like on the second Football Team game.

Dak was supposedly back against Atlanta too, when Dallas won 43-3. Of course most don’t realize that Atlanta, like Denver, played aggressive man coverage. Denver actually didn’t play much zone, they were able to press and get pressure from the left side because Smith was out. Dak had one of his typical Andy, horrible pocket presence type games. Denver though didn’t blitz much either.

Reality is, Dak’s calf was fine. Teams just started playing more zone and backed off the blitz. And with the RG no longer produced an unsustainable close to 6 YPC, Dak was exposed as a mediocre passer that can’t anticipate WRs being open or go through his progressions properly.
You never stop with your blather.

Dak won that game against the Charger...missed on 4 whole passes too.

Not his best game but they won the game. Can't say the same for Carr and Mahomes who played them in the recent weeks following.

Bucs game was good but not his best game. GB playoff game was his best game. He's had others that are up there but Dak brought them back twice in that game only for AR to tear our heats out on a miracle pass.

I don't care about Dak's calf...i think he was fine. What changed is Zeke lost whatever little explosion he had left. Our running game was no longer a threat and we had a gimp to dump it to against those zone defenses.

It really isn't anything more than that, spin as you do.

Reckon you are just about the only one that still defends the plonker QB.. but I admire your pride. It can be hard for some to admit they have made a mistake.. a trait you share in common with our teams ownership I think.

There is a not a serious analyst in the game that still thinks Dak is anything special. Sure they got blinded for a little while.. like so many others.. but the truth came home in a big way this season. For those of us who have seen this since Year 1.. it has been a bitter sweet moment.. yeah it is nice to finally have so many see the truth but then the pain sets in that your team will suffer for it.

Teams have now got the book on Dak. He will regress against good teams even further next year. We will lose some of our weapons due to Cap issues and there isn't a miracle fix coming for the OL. Dak is in for a world of pain, as are we as the fans.

The only way it changes is if we change QB or we change OC and go heavy on the run game. If we commit to the run and use Dak as an effective bus driving game manager.. then we have a chance but even then.. it won't win a playoff game.

So really.. there is no hope for us long suffering fans.. but kudos to you Ken.. keep defending the pile of cow dung that is Dak.

No there are a handful of us on this board and it is completely the opposite on twitter.

We just have cornered the market on sound byte analysts on this board.

Just say things and can't back it up with anything factual.

Dak isn't getting treated with kid gloves by many of the Cowboys' fans, although our FO doesn't seem to mind in doing so. With elite salaries comes elite expectations. It's too bad that Dak hasn't quite fulfilled elite expectations just yet.

I think an "elite" label demands more consistency to justify Dak's salary level. Whether it comes about or not remains to be seen. So far in his career, his playoff results have simply been disappointing. I've never considered him to actually be "elite." It seems to me that his accuracy is lacking in what an elite level demands.

Dak passed for a whopping 170 yards minus his dump off to end the half of three yards to Lamb who ran like 40 yards as the time expired..

Dak sucked that game and was his typical check-down Charlie.

And I already said out RG stopped averaging a close to unsustainable almost six yards per carry for both Zeke and Pollard, meaning you aren’t proving, once again, what you think you are proving, which is Dak is garbage without an ELITE RG forcing teams out of zone.

RG went from good to non existent.

Denver shut down a few qbs that you would consider OMGz ELITE....what was their excuse?

Did you happen to watch Mahomes struggle with coverage against the Bengals? OMGz DAK SUCKS....

Yes, we all know Mahomes struggled when Bengals dropped 3 in coverage and completely ignoring the RG, but that’s not the same thing as struggling against rushing 4 when you have RBs averaging close to 6 YPC like we have been doing when Checkdown Charlie has been the QB of this franchise. Mahomes and elite QBs have been facing cover 2 as standard looks ever since they set foot in this league.

So like I said, you have no clue what you are talking about. Your excuses is that the RG wasn’t producing for Dak at what was clearly an unsustainable level for any RG to operate at. Yeah, I’m sure Pollard and Zeke just averaging close to 6 YPC and what everybody and their mother were saying was was the best tandem in the game was just ‘good’ and not elite.

Plus. I’m sure any QB, not just Dak, can make a living checking into a run against a zone when their RBs put them in 2nd and 5 or 2nd and 4 regularly. Cooper Rush had no problems off 4 years of not even playing a single regular season game

LOL. You seriously are delusional.

Yes, struggling against 3 with more than 3 people in a route is not equal to struggling against 4 with only 3 people in a route. Wow.

Did you watch Mahomes over and over again get sacked after holding the ball for 10 seconds unsure of what to do with it? No...of course not.

Show me where Dak did anything like that...i'll wait.

Of course...you are all about this Denver game...a game that he literally came back after 3 weeks of not playing and rehabbing....a game against the #3 points against defense in the league that made a lot of "ELITE" qbs look silly. Yes....lets manifest this into Dak can't do this and Dak can't do that. Your specialty.

Romo got paid top dollar and blew games. Or played poorly. Dak has had bad games and has talent all around him. I can’t blame him for not having a run game or O-Line penalties and lack of blocking.. But he has had time and thrown some passes that were way off.. He needs to improve. He learned how to beat the blitz. So he will learn how to beat a 4 man front. He will learn to change plays at the line to get the slants and dump offs to get it out quicker when Moore is calling longer developing plays.. Get our run game back and you will see a 160 million dollar QB..
Going into his 7th year....He is what he is.
