What chance does this offense have against the Rams?

I’m not a SHEEP FAN who accepts front office mediocrity. If you’re still fan after 27 years of trash and con artistry results then you are a definition of a SHEEP.

Your pathetic labels and definitions mean nothing to anyone but you. I’m a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Always have been. I have NO idea what YOU are, and I don’t care. So go blow some sheep, crybaby.

Regular season meetings:

They went 11-6 against the Manning led colts and Broncos.

They also went 12-3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the other dominant AFC team during Brady’s era.

The Pats with Brady were 3-3 vs the Alex Smith and Pat Mahomes Chiefs, who were often the second or third playoff seed behind them.

The Patriots were 5-1 vs the Flacco-led Ravens, a team that was a thorn in their side in many playoff runs.

By blowing through the AFC East every year, they garnered a 1st place schedule year after year after year, playing against the very best AFC teams of the previous season. And they crushed those teams too.
I don’t care. My point remains. They say the Cowboys’ wins against the NFCE were 6 meaningless gimmes. I’m saying the Pats’ division was the same thing.

Cowboys were 1-5 against playoff teams not named the Philadelphia eagles. Do they even make the playoffs in another division? Do we think those Patriots that were winning Super Bowls would? I think that is the major discrepancy about Dallas’s 6-0 division record vs NE’s

But they validated their status as a LEGIT team by winning more Super Bowls than ANYONE in the history of the NFL. We validated that we are a FRAUD by winning 12 - 13 games and not advancing past the divisional round for 25+ years
That wasn’t my point. My point was the Pats’ success against the AFCE was comparable to the Cowboys’ success against the NFCE.

Dallas going 6-0 against 3 crap teams = N.E. going 6-0 against 3 crap teams

THAT’S the only thing I’m talking about. You can’t win OR lose playoff games if you don’t even make it!

except you were replying to this:

You are right....we won 12 games. How many of those were against good teams? The NFC East is not a good measuring stick

You’re attempting to remove context by ignoring the entire season to only focus on the 6 game divisional record, when the comment was about Dallas’s entire 12 win season.

So by absolving all context, yes the Dallas Cowboys are the New England Patriots. And Dak and Tom play the same position in those divisional wins so Dak Prescott is Tom Brady.

Except the reason no one views the Pats divisional romp the same way they view Dallas’s is because no one would remove context of who those teams actually were. His comment is saying 6-0 in the division is the highlight of Dallas’s entire year. For NE, it’s barely even mentioned because it represents something very different

I don’t see 6 wins as the highlight of their season. 12 wins isn’t bad, though.

The 2022 season is going to be horrible...if they have a good year it will be a complete surprise considering their history

That is actually PART of their strategy. Under promise....over deliver. And here is the even funnier part....they don't have to promise ANYTHING...and we will still watch. They can go 8-9. They can go 12 - 5. They can miss the playoffs. They can get eliminated in the 1st round. They could win the Super Bowl. We are not going to abandon this franchise...and they KNOW this. Heck if they won...I am so emotionally bankrupt with the Jones family...I would just be relieved...as opposed to elated. The Jones family has exhausted me!

I mean for goodness sake...the Bengals....the Bengals...just went to the Super Bowl with a 2nd year QB coming off a catastrophic injury and a 2nd year head coach. Not saying it should be THIS easy...but it is not NEARLY as hard as the Jones boys have led us to believe!!!!!!!!!!!! The year before that...the Buccaneers...the Buccaneers...with a 100 year QB won the Super Bowl.

What I am trying to say is this 27 year drought does not have to be. The Jones boys have ruined this franchise...and yet here we are on a message board talking about something that seems like it will never change!!!!!!!!!!!

The gap between us and the DREADFUL NFC East has shrunk!!! But beating the scrubs of the NFC East should not be our GOAL!!!!!!!!! We beat them so bad last year...and then got handled so easily in the playoffs...management should have licking their chops to get better. But what do we do instead? Let some of our top players walk out the door. I am okay with that if you have a plan to add better pieces. But that is NOT what is happening!!!!!!

My feelings exactly. The putrid job this FO does in FA is a joke. It's not as if we don't over pay all the damn time. We over pay our own, instead of signing FAs with better resumes. Randy Gregory was a perfect example. How they can justify paying that clown and not an outside FA is beyond me.

  • A QB that I project to be the same
  • The TE position I project to be the same
  • A RB group that got WORSE (you don't get better at this position by getting older)
  • A WR corps that got WORSE (you don't get better by releasing your best WR and replacing him with and UNPROVEN Cee Dee Lamb and a WR that will not even be ready to start the season)
  • An OL that got WORSE - Tyron Smith is NOT getting better. I hope Martin stays the same. The LG is vacant. Our starting C is a backup. And the RT is average with his ceiling being "above average" (notice I did not say good, great, or excellent).
We played a NFC West team in the playoffs...and it was not even close. When you think about how EASILY we beat up on the NFC East...and contrast that with how EASILY we were beaten by a team from the NFC West...a team that is not even the best team from the NFC West...beaten in our own stadium...what is there to be optimistic about? Our amount of cap room? The amount of mid-round picks we are piling up? How on earth does the Jones family expect us to maintain any respect for them. Or how many times do they have to tell us "we don't care" before we start believing them?!?!?!?!

12 wins for any team is a good season—except the Cowboys. If they don’t win the SB, lots of entitled crybabies can’t pound their chest and strut at the water cooler.
No one wins the Super Bowl every year. But Nick Foles winning more playoff games in 1 postseason (2018) than we have won in the last 25+ years COMBINED. Is that ok with you?
The Tampa Bay Bucaneers won the Super Bowl in 2020...prior to that they had missed the playoffs TWELVE STRAIGHT YEARS! Is that okay with you?

The system is designed for you to eventually breakthrough....no matter how terrible of a franchise you are. You have to really try hard...harder than almost anybody else...to not advance past the divisional round for 25+ straight years. So it is not even about Super Bowl expectations....in addition to us not being good...we are not even lucky!!!!!!!!!!!

We sure aren’t lucky! I think subjective penalties have killed us at the worst possible time—more than any other team. We bring the ratings during the regular season, but there’s a HUGE audience for Dallas playoff losse$. Have we made personnel mistakes? Hell yes! Bad contracts? Many times! Bad coaching hires? Of course! A culture of entitlement, debauchery, and malfeasance—guilty as charged. Despite all the crap, we’ve been so close to getting over the hump so many times. All we can really do is hope, and enjoy the ride.

The same they had against the 49ers last season? Uphill battle from the word jump and just not enough in the end to win. Typical Cowboy season.
