Wants a contract extension in his 4th year? Needs to play at least this year before I would think about it. I would call his bluff. If he sits this year than I don’t think that counts as a year a service.

It’s not a mess if they get the deal done…why wouldn’t you want to sign him?
Because he’s a little midget diva who throws his teammates under the bus. Then again when you’re that short you’re probably not able to throw them OVER the bus.

Falcons going to roll with Mariota for at least one season while scouting for a QB to draft in 2023.
Passing (pun intended) on Murray.
Trade within division to Seahawks possible? Seattle could much of the draft capital they recently acquired from Broncos in Wilson trade. But do the Seahawks want to acquire Murray --and what he wants in an extension?
Same with Panthers - want is the cost to get the Cardinals QB?
Trade one short QB for another. Granted with Seattle’s OL his running skills will come in handy.

No question I see what you're saying but keep in the power/impact QBs have over teams' W/L and locker room. If you force the issue, he'll simply sit out ex number of weeks where he won't lose his free-agent credit, then report. Hell, the season is probably down the drain by then. I'm simply saying if they don't want to pay him now then trade him.
I hope they DON’T give in to his demands. Show Jerry how a FO should operate.

His agent is probably already in talks with MLB should that happen. He has a fall back not many of them have.

And if they come unraveled with no QB, what does he learn from that?

I gave up long ago on him learning anything from anyone else,

The way he’s burning bridges in Cleveland and throwing his teammates under the bus may keep him from having a shot with another team but eventually someone will give him a shot. Teams are going to be leery about bringing him into their locker room. He’s had an up-and-down career and he’s not helping himself right now with the comments he’s making.
I go along with your comments 'KJJ'.
His brash personality and fiery competiveness could be an appeal to the 2nd year command-control + some of the fanbase down here in Atlanta.
But one of the main traits of the recently departed Matt Ryan that made him so endearing to Falcons fans -
he NEVER called out his teammates individually - and ALWAYS acknowledged their failures as a team --acknowledging his shortcomings first.

I understand that but there was talk on sports radio out here in the Bay Area that the A’s might not want him any more. Discussed how his baseball skills might have deteriorated a bit after playing football for the past 3 years.

The Cards know there 10 teams who would think about making a run at Murray if he was on the market. So, what is it Arizona, the player or the draft capital?

LOL.....they have a mess on their hands coz this kid has baseball options. This fact he's threatening to sit out.......man, this could get ugly, real fast. Then again, maybe he's trying to force his way out.

Jerry gonna swoop in with a creative trade???????

They saw what SEA got for Wilson and HOU for Watson. What are ATL, CAR, NO, HOU, PHL or WAS willing to give up?

They're the 3rd best team in their division now, might make a haul and go for the rebuild. They could trade Hopkins as well and load up for 2023-24. They'd spiral but they'd want to dump Mr. Architectual Digest anyway. He's an empty jock of a coach, always has been.

@nightrain is right though. You need to be in the tournament to have a chance and there's always a chance. That's what teams are paying for. Who had Stafford as a Super Bowl QB before this year?

You're thinking like an owner, not a fan. Just happy with playoffs. We had zero chance of winning the SB last year. We were right there with the Eagles, Steelers, and Titans. But keep telling yourself otherwise.

You're also talking to the wrong person about Stafford. I'm not a stat head. I always thought Stafford was a good QB on a crap team. I compared him to Romo about 100 times on these boards.

wrong... they expect to e extended with 1 year left, not 2. and he isnt top 5 worth opening the vault for.

What? Dude, at least do your homework. Any player can be extended after 3 years. Allen, Mahomes, Watson, Wilson, all extended after 3 years. Herbert and Burrow will be extended after this upcoming season. With 2 years left!! Diggs will be extended after this upcoming season. Wait for it. Khalil Mack, Aaron Donald, on and on and on. The 5th year option plays no roll. It's 3 years for an extension, end of story. If not, then the team has doubts.

Let me ask you something. When a player gets extended, do you know they still have to play out the remainder of their rookie deal?

Guy has potential. He's being held back by the cardinals. I'm not saying you bench Dak for him, but how about we bring him in to give Dak some actual competition? If Murray wins, great. If Dak wins then that must mean Dak proved more capable. Competition is good.
