Osiris Mitchell, he was with Dallas last year on the PS. They just released him in January I think.

Why should they? College football is minor league that costs teams nothing to operate.

Look, I just feel like there has to be a better option than these independent minor leagues. There's gotta be something that isn't complete garbage.

AAF went under because they didn't have legit funding from the get go. The TV Networks are behind this and supposedly have committed 150m for 3 years so it has a much more stable base. XFL went bust the second go around because of the pandemic.

Unless you have the absolute best players it’s going to be pretty much garbage. NFL teams aren’t going to allow promising prospects/draft picks to be coached by other coaching staffs. This is why NFL teams have practice squads.

It kinda looks like football. Both offenses have stalled after the opening drive.

Yeah, he was hyped in the draft....pretty sure he was a mid rounder but his limited athleticism did him in.

Correction: Injury plagued senior season and terrible workouts caused him to drop to 7th round.

Next year the revamped XFL will return.
It will not be a minor league for the NFL.
However, both entities have agreerd to a collaboration.
The NFL will use the XFL as an avenue to test and develop new rules, innovations, and ideals = a "testing ground" of sorts.
But the XFL's two co-owners - Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and business magnate Dany Garcia - have said that the partnership will not put their business in the position of being a minor - "feeder" league.
The XFL will exist as an independent entity, and maintain its identity as a separate professional football organization.
