Easy. Money. An actual, serious, NFL minor league would likely rake in billions.

To do that they would have to start recruiting/drafting high school players which would be direct competition to the ncaa. And they aren't going to do that.

I saw a Desperados game in SA , wasnt Danny White the coach at one point, I believe he was during that time.

Danny coached the Arizona team for a while and won a championship with them. Not sure if he coached the Desperados or not.

No they wouldn't. There are hundreds of thousands of players who are out of college, but not quite good enough for the NFL yet. Literally, the players that are already on NFL practice squads. Or the ones playing in these garbage alternate leagues.

By your logic, other sports leagues couldn't have official minor leagues. Yet they do.

One thing I'll never get about these minor league football leagues is why can't ANY of them come up with uniforms and logs that aren't complete trash? Like they just scream "minor league". Looks like Madden create-a-team stuff.

They aren’t all that bad.
I am sure some people said the same thing when the AFL started to compete with the NFL.

It takes time to get used to something new.
How many people said, what would I want a computer for my home, what is it good for.
How many people said, why do I want a cell (portable) phone, it cost too much.

Probably even had horse and buggy People putting down gasoline powered cars.

I think the problem is everyone puts so much money into making it a huge event year 1 and it doesn’t return the same investment and it flops. They should start smaller, build a reputation in the individual cities and then go big once it’s a known brand. I had no idea USFL started today, and most casual people don’t even know what it is.

I know they’ve kind of tried it before, but I still think if the NFL would go all in on a minor league type system, they could make it work.

Yeah QB play at times didn't look great but also made for some exciting moments for the defenses.
