So, I really like this player. He looks much better on tape than his stats show. So I was wondering what fans thought about his play, and if there was a reason why his stats don't line up with the tape on him.

He was apparently buried on the depth chart and several fans were saying he wasn't getting enough opportunities.

But the fans seem to think he could have produced more if given the opportunity.

Interesting read if you care to take the time.

HIs stats show he easily replaces Ced.Wilson. tape stats whatever it is its easy to see he takes on that roll

We gotta see Washington in practice. Big Ben might have been the worst quarterback in the NFL his last two seasons. At least the worst deep ball thrower. Ben was really bad.

These are the kinds of players we as fans have to hope turns out great out of sheer luck. But I don't know a thing about this player.

His pro highlights are on youtube.

Good player. He's going to be fun to watch in a Cowboy uni.

He's such a scrub he was drafted 60th overall in 2018....

So, basically, our starting WR trio consists of two 2nds, and a 1st round pick.

Very underrated pick up, from what I can tell.

See 4:45 against Awuzie.

He had a really good second season with Pittsburgh and then he just fell out of favor. It could have been a philosophy change or a coaching thing (I have no idea what when on in Pittsburgh).

Either way this is a former second round pick that has produced when actually given an opportunity, so we'll see.
Amari Cooper fell out of favor here and wasn’t seeing many targets. So we’ve seen that before.

His productivity had a big spike when the backup QB started.

Some WRs just don't click with some QBs.

Dak didn't like the Dez type WR.
Those that just follow the stat line will never understand talent evaluation.
Watch Washington become a fan favorite soon, all those that have already dismissed him as being anything relevant.
I make somewhat of joke about my boy TJ, because I post that pretty smile of his on this forum often.
The V MAN..
I wish him the best, as I do all Cowboys hopefuls.
Im just saying that I fully endorse the Cowboys acquisition of James Washington, those that choose to respect my endorsement will celebrate.
Those that dismiss my endorsement as a village idiot, please feel free to call me to the carpet if Im wrong with this player.
I will come and gladly accept all punches to my belly.
Moores' current fan base opinion stands, and Washingtons' add was all about Moore.
Both are make or break, Washington was Moores' choice all day.

His Pro highlights with the Steelers look pretty good. He's only 26 too.

I think Gallup was a 3rd round pick.

because he (Dak)wouldnt throw unless he sees clear separation, doesnt trust the receiver to win the ball ( Prime Dez did it , Cooper was never such guy )
At this point in his career he should be able to trust himself to let the ball go and let receiver make plays . Afraid of interceptions and dinking and dunking is not going to win ballgames in playoffs

I dont see how anyone can complain with Washington as WR4, because I'm pretty sure a few days from now that's what he is going to be.

Gallup is gonna miss some time but that's OK, they will get by.

Way too many other things to worry about with this team.

Loool, fuzzy logic at its finest.

Let me try…let’s pick up Paxton Lynch and Ryan Leaf so we can say “hey, we basically have two 1st rounders backing up Dak at QB!!! Jelly anyone?”

I happen to like jelly.

I'll have you know that if personal attacks were allowed I'd really let you have it!

I think Washington may equal the production of Cedrick Wilson and perhaps get more opportunities than he did with a lesser number of WRs to choose from. It'll be interesting. Of course, the draft might include a promising rookie, as well, so it surely remains to be seen how it's handled.

I like this kid. Washington did display his ability as a deep threat, big play receiver in Pittsburgh. He averaged 14.3 yards per catch w/the Steelers while making several impressive combat catches against tight coverage. He'll be an opponent's nightmare lol.

And you think this QB and OL will allow that to be utilized? The two longest pass plays of the year were to Wilson and Turner.

This is not a vertical passing team and doesn't look like they will improve on that this season.
If Moore believes in job retention than he better grow a pair and play his Boise game that we have all been waiting to see, expecting to see.
More conservative intermediate receiving route tree seems obvious, Washington acquisition allows you to have a very effective and dynamic intermediate route tree, franchised TE that is the best in the buisness at 3 yard routes,
and let Pollard finally be what Pollard was meant to be in the short game, and Moore looks like a genius.
Once Gallup returns its even more to the mix it get really dynamic really quick if we actually have some intermediate route tree.
Washington I guarantee will be able to show Gallup and Moore how you run underneath coverage, he learned that day 1 drafted in Pitt.
Moore will make it or break it this season, if he crawls under a rock again because he doesnt trust his little blue folder than he will be done and some of the rumors about SP coming here might manifest.
If we can elevate Moores coordination up to Quinns level than even Jerry will have a hard time even letting SJ screw things up.
This could happen,, could being different than will, but if just that were to happen, oh what a glorious day that would be.
Seems simple enough.
