The AJ Brown trade was brilliant for the Titans. I wish the Cowboys had their thought process

Yep!
I figured if you follow the Cowboys you know what Troy Aikman said after we summarily were 1 and done in the most recent playoffs. If not, I'd rather you verify it for yourself.
So i looked it up and he was super critical of the playcalling.

What does that have to do with Dak?

AJ Brown is good but not elite similar to Dak. The WR is exploding so instead of paying elite money for a good player they traded him and replaced him with a similar player on a rookie contract + got an additional 3rd round pick. There is no guarantee Burks will be a Pro Bowl WR but teams have to trust their scouting (including scouting their own players). In the 2020 draft the Dolphins were aggressively trying to move up from the 5th pick to the 1st pick in order to draft Burrow. They were willing to sell the farm. If the Cowboys offered Dak for the 5th pick and maybe the Texans 2021 1st round pick they would have likely agreed to the deal. We could have selected Herbert with the 2020 5th overall pick and been in a much better situation.
Replacing a QB and a WR is not even in the realm of the same thing

We don't do outside the box here
We did zero trades this draft.
We went from taking risk, to no risk
There was little reason to trade in this draft, other than out to gain some futures at a couple spots, but Im overall elated that this team chose staying put and taking the harvest as it fell.
There are a lot of teams that did very well in this draft doing the exact same, a lot of good talent tainted by not being a sexy QB top loaded draft went to a lot of teams, definitely no excluding the Cowboys.
Loved this draft as much as I loved last years.

Yep. its hard to have a qb making 40 million, a wr making 23 million, a DE making 20 million......
Cant wait to see Cooper Kupp get a new deal soon....lol

Speaking of Kupp, there's no guarantee he's getting a huge payday. He'll be 30 by the time he's up for extension. If I'm the Rams I just let him play out the remaining 2 years. No way would I pay a 31 year old WR 30M a year.

No where did I mentioned Dak in the response. Just discussing if he would have been picked by this FO and some of the concerns that some of the scouts had. Don't know where you interpret a dig Dak from this.
it was top the OP and others.. dak was mentioned and again in posts after..the knocks dak takes reminds me of Romo both great franchise type guys who fall short of elite but their $$$ makes fan troll them. I get tired of it..no one appreciates a top 10 qb anymore.. its boom or bust around here..take ES22 off those 90s team, and have half the OL and other party's of the team get injured and not have Jimmy and that staff and Troy would be worse then dak or Romo we saw his ragged RS numbers.. that HOF team and coaches helped Troy be seen as elite..he played well in the payoffs and was very good QB not elite. Romo and Dak get flak over team/coaching deficiency's and it drives me crazy..

Mavs Luka getting the same nonsense, the guy cant play much better and some say hes ball hawk, selfish, and cant play well with others that's the blow back from his 45-12-8 near triple double it was his fault they lost lol right more blind hater trolls all over..Lukas a less athletic version of Lebron if you watch his game and yet fans already turning on him..

dallas area fans are just clueless, always looking to put the blame on star..

AJ Brown is a top 4 WR talent in this league, dont care what his stats reflect from devoid Titans.
Philly paid for him, but they saw the market, and took the bait.
Hated when I saw he went to our division rival.

Should be comparing AJ Brown with Amari Cooper not Dak but that’s the kind of fans you’re dealing with here. Cooper actually put up better numbers than AJ Brown last season.

some fans will spin everything and anything to start a Dak thread and lead on the Dak bashing. its probably boredom or agenda.....perhaps I could start one, and it goes like this, I was walking upstairs, I twisted my left ankle, which reminded me of Dak and how inaccurate he is, he was at total fault for the passing game against SF, which leads me to think about his 40M average contract that how over paid he is and we will never win a championship with him ....

how was that?

Damn, nice post brother. Obviously we've had our issues, but you're dead on as far as I'm concerned. TBH though, I actually like AJ Brown a lot and I think it's a big loss for them. Sure they got a young stud, but there's no guarantee he will develop to be the player Brown is. The Titans offense regressed this year probably because they lost an offensive coordinator who was doing a good enough job in Tennessee to get a head coaching spot. I believe Brown regressed more so because of that than anything else.

Minnesota going from Diggs to Jefferson was awesome, but not the norm. People are taking it for granted that Burks will be a stud. He may very well be, but we don't know that yet.
titans are solid team last 4 years pretty good top 5 in the AFC but the OP wanting us to mimic them and i believe i put that to rest.. i ema imagine that record as franchise like all time, that record is putrid. This place would run them out of town like well the titans left Htown.lol

its like this place has done year in and year out, comments about how we are supposed to model ourselves after the jag that year Bortle had them, in the AFCCG, then it was the jags after one year then CLE what happened after that now an OP says the Titans rather it be the Rams LOL

I don't know how Big Mike will benefit from the drafts and trades done 'till now.

I hope Stephen's FO know what they are doing .

Since 2000, the records are below. And I fixed your red post.
Dallas Cowboys 186-167 52.7% 8 playoffs made
Tennessee Titans 183-170 51.8% 9 playoffs made
so dont cherry pick you cant take away Jerrys 3 sbs by trying to start at 2k but even them we are supposed to drool over the titans great management seriously the OP is out of his minds comparing a WR move to Daks deal..we both know thats Insane.,? no we cant that just further proves my point. Seems to me i still win the debate OP lite what the titans do over Jerry and well since 2k it not much different.

lets go back to when they were the Oilers what exactly did they do>? heck add in the new Texans franchise lets see all 3 have how many sbs to Jerrys 3..its so easy to win them lets count those up..

that would be

Jerry 3

the texans, oliers, and titans ZERO..lmao..

Well done, well said, me boy!
But Jerrphen will never have moved or move from Dak for at least 3 years.
JERRY HATES TO HURT PLAYERS' FEELINGS! I DUNNA KNOW WHETHER TO STRANGLE* THE OLD MAN OR HUG HIM!

Im not disagreeing with your current assessment, just saying AJ Brown has the talent level to be in the top 4 in this group, but that depends a lot on Hurts ability to get him the ball.
So I understand the disagreement.
