... ..supposedly, has 20 yrs of XP he brought with him. Dallas was most penalized team of 21'.

Adding fuel to fire, Dallas OL led league in holding penalties. Top ten in false starts.

I understand he's MM's buddy. I thought Jones we're serious about winning?

What say you?

I say McCarthy is head coach and should have the coaches he wants.

Yeah, we all know that nepotism is a great business/coaching model !

FTR I think there are much better OL coaching choices out there and Fat Mac has already shown he's not skilled at picking the best coaches to work under him. Does anyone remember Mike Nolan. Most improved unit on the team last year was the overall defense and Quinn wasn't McCarthy's choice as DC.

Good question.

Jerry was so mad after the first round home playoff that he................. did absolutely nothing and brought back the same staff essentially, including the coach of the positional group that likely was one of the bigger problems of the 2021 season.

Good question
With how our oline played
I could have seen a change happening
Maybe front office felt it was the players
And not the coaching?

Maybe they feel like Phiblin earned the benefit of the dought after he worked with Steele all last season and transformed him into a starting RT after having such a bad year prior. Here's hoping he can do the same with Smith and the major issues last year were on the players not coaches

Why are we blaming Philbin for penalties?

Look at the injuries an the lack of cohesion because of them...,it's not rocket science. You can only coach those that are there and the OL is very much dependent on cohesion. Philbin is a good and proven coach, most won't appreciate this and will call me a homer.....so be it.
