I think we wasted Pollard's ability last year. But I think we also need to be careful trying to give him the running back load. He's not big enough. Versatility is the word for Pollard, not quantity.

Problem is when he’s not hitting home runs he doesn’t get many base hits. He has too many no gains and negative carries. Pollard is a good player that fits his role as a change of pace back. He can make plays between the tackles but he doesn’t make enough of them. He doesn’t move the chains enough when tough yards are needed.

Oh stop it. He had like 280 less rushing yards than Zeke with like a 100 less carries and a 5.5 avg.

Zeke wasn’t doing anything special last year and he wasn’t helping the team with chain moving or anything else. He was very average and Pollard wasn’t.

He’s plenty big enough. Look at his height weight.

Pollard is not an every down back he’s a complementary back.

Zeke isn’t either anymore. Sorry bud.

He can still push the pile for 4 yards and block. The bottom line is neither one of them is a good every down back. Splitting carries is the best thing for both of them and the team.

I haven't seen a runner like this since, yeah, shoot me, Joseph Randle.

Also @ 5:24.. gives me hope that Biadz can develop this year.

Tony Pollard definitely needs more carries. I like that duo back backfield where Zeke at times was used as a FB blocking for Tony Pollard.

As for Biadasz, meh, he didn't do much during that play you marked at 5:24. I truly hope Matt Farniok is given as many Center reps and opportunities this training camp and preseason, because Farniok is bigger, stronger, more athletic and more aggressive than Biadasz.

Nope. The past 2 seasons have proven Zeke can no longer push the pile for 1 yard, much less 4 yards. So many times on 3rd or 4th & 1, the Cowboys went for it by handing it off to Zeke, and 9 out of 10 times, Zeke was unable to push forward for 1 measly yard. So many drives were killed because of such failure (the Oline is as much to blame as well).

Pollard needs " touches" .... not necessary carries, imo

He can be just as much a factor in the pass game as well If Kellen used him in pass game like a Darren Sproles ...Nyheim Hines ...or even Aaron Jones
Pollard would be one of the more explosive backs in the NFL ,..

i could only imagine if he were on the KC Chiefs offense or with Shanahan Niners run/pass game ...
He's already one of the most explosive kick off returners in the entire NFL

He's vastly under-utilized and mis-schemed here but crimes of the current OC

Joseph " meat on the bone " Randle ?
Yes, the very same Joseph Randle...

Didn’t look like Randle left much meat on the bone, did it?

And, yes, Tony Pollard looks so much like Joseph Randle in running style and production. If you refuse to see that, you're simply being stubborn and hard-headed. The comparison is very valid.

Sure but Pollard still needs more touches because he may actually do something big with the touches he gets unlike Zeke.

How about getting a real OC that knows how to adjust and use them both.
Moore was great the 1st 6 games or so, then as Dak and the OL was injured, as well as Zeke, and even Pollard with his heel. Moore refused to adjust.

We will see if they get back to that 1st 6 game style when the season starts. Pollard needs to be used more in the passing game as well. He is quick and shifty, and can make the slower defenses miss.
Unless Zeke gets some of his quickness and speed back to hit the outside. Then the OL will really need to step up. Again, Moore needs to call the right plays. He seemed to be on fire, then he fizzled as to his game plans. Like DC's poured water all over his game plans.

I will wait to see how they all look before coming to any conclusions.
This is my thoughts. Why we have idiot fans fighting about the two? STUPID! We have a fantastic 1-2 duo right here in our laps...but OC would rather have NCAA Mountain West passing numbers than a fearsome run game.

Makes me sick to my stomach.
