I tend to think CD will be better. And maybe Cooper should have flourished with Lamb out there, but he didn’t take advantage of his opportunities. So part of the reason he is gone. It was obvious in the 2nd half of the season, but really the past 2 years Cooper was not the huge difference makers as many wanted.

You could tell that Dak wanted to throw to Lamb, but had to keep Cooper happy. Since day 1 that Lamb was here Dak has been favoring him. Lamb was on pace for a 1400 yard season his rookie year before Dak got hurt.

Then you could see that Dalton was heavily favoring Cooper.

12 seems pretty high. I would’ve guessed we are back half of the league. We have a busted Gallup, Ceedee, a cheapish free agent, and an unproven rookie. I’m not convinced defenses won’t be able to single us up and shut them all down.

CD is overrated.

How can you be overrated when you have only been in the league 2 years? Are you aware he has the most receiving yards the first two years of any Cowboys receiver in the history?

I think guys like are just upset that he wound up getting your hero Cooper punted outta here because he outshined him in only his 2nd season.

Would you rather Lamb be a bust and we have to keep Cooper and spend 22 million doing it?

How much did PFF discount the guy returning from a torn ACL sometime about midseason? They only scored him at 73.4 last year.

Lets be honest here. They have Gallup under valued because he is hurt. Tolbert is a rookie so they have him low and Washington has been a disappointment in PItt. So how high are they really going to have our guys?

12. Dallas Cowboys The losses of Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson hurt, and they’re the reason Dallas slides just outside of the top 10 on this list. But there’s still reason to be excited about this unit. CeeDee Lamb could be in for a monstrous 2022 season after raising his PFF grade from 71.6 as a rookie to 84.1 last year. He’s joined by Michael Gallup at the top of the depth chart — an underrated X receiver returning from a torn ACL in 2022. Free agent acquisition James Washington and rookie Jalen Tolbert will compete for snaps as the No. 3 receiver and vertical threat in Dallas’ offense.

Didn't they have Washington ranked as the top defense going into the season last year?

We shall see how this year goes with CD. Has the tools to be a solid #1 but honestly isn't there yet. Gallup is a solid #2

I'm sure they did, PFF's ranking/grading system is crazy. They had shows talking that defense up, until that defense actually had to show up.

I'd have us lower if Gallup isn't ready to go at the start of the season. Then, what we've got is one really good receiver, one who hasn't lived up to being a second-round pick and a third-round rookie.

Did you watch the game when he had to play #1 vs Chiefs, Raider, Broncos … he didn’t go over 100 yards with all three games combined.
You keep saying that yet he went 4 targets and 3 catches against the Chiefs (He can't throw to himself) and no targets against the Raiders (he isn't calling the plays either).

These ratings mean nothing. Just another opinion. Mine says we’ll be fine.

How CD Lamb handles more double teams than he's seen at the NFL level will be huge. Can the new guys take advantage of the 1 on 1 matchups and are they on the same page with Dak? huge questions will be answered on the field.

He couldn’t get open that’s why he had pedestrian stats. Don’t blame the team for his deficiencies when he faces top tier defenders.

The offensive line needs to block and stop holding or there is no WR that will be a #1 in Dallas. Then Dak needs to throw the ball and not hold it until a guy is 10 yards open.

Exactly.

And that part you mention about Cooper lacking the competitive edge that Lamb has is spot on. That's the same reason Gruden traded him.

LOL, its hilarious to hear people's opinions and they think they are facts or rock solid predictions of coming events. Lamb will need to still prove he can go up against #1 CB and possible double teams. He may or may not be great, but to say he can do it is just an assumption. We shall see. As for Gallup, coming off a major injury and missing several games to start the season....there is a big question how effective he will be right away. Don't give a crap about PFF, but that #12 ranking seems kind of high at this moment in time. The other WRs are just wild cards at this point. Who knows how they rate.

Tha is only fair, since our QB is No. 12 or so.

I’d put Dak about 5th in the NFC. There’s 3 to 5 better in the AFC. JMO.

no you just can’t see talent. CD is a legit stud #1 and gallop is a great #2.

tolber will turn out to be a great #3 and Washington is a great #4.
Glad to hear they are all great WRs. Guess there's no excuses then.
