So you're giving bail to the FO that has mismanaged this team for the last 30 years?

No matter what you say about Dak, he got nothing on the Jones fam. Who has been raking in billions, and creating the #1 sports franchise in the world... all while underachieving as a team for 30 years.
Just another perspective from the owner's side on the Dak-friendly years.
Heck if I was the owner after 6 years(Having paid 160 million) of giving Dakko nothing but the best around him and scoring being the main issue why we lose in big games I would have benched the young man already!
And you know what now that I think about it most would agree......owners that are!
Patience Joker as Batman (Jerry) will sooner than later take this inept QB out of our Girdiron lives......

So you really think the FO gave Dak "nothing but the best" when Dak is making $400k/yr?

JJ is that you?!?

Yea, we’ve already watched Jethro waste a better franchise QB career under Romo.

Our dysfunctional ownership admitted priority is remaining interesting and relative driving their record revenue which a few stars provide them . Too bad they haven’t figure out how to build a better team.

Personally I don't think anyone is being setup for failure. Clearly we have some inexperience at WR especially with Gallup out early on in the season. I do think Cowboys will lean on the run game a bit more early on. I think defense will be much improved. As for Dak, he has a job to do and I fully expect him to go out and do his job.

Helman is an idgit with a little mans complex. His word Salad is very general and never just spits it out. Little Lord Fontelroy just needs 2 write sumthin I guess. He's a bit arrogant like much of the Dallas media. Must be in the water there. Lets give Fat Mike a fair chance before we start saying BS that we cant prove just yet. My Gawd, its just week 2 in preseason. Dave needs a cookie.

What is the wow play? What is the big dak moment when you knew he was special?
It’s his whole body of work. He’s not a splashy player. I know you kids like to see splash and “look at me” types but that’s not Dak. He’s a leader. He came in as a rookie and won 13 games. He’s 53 - 32 as a starter with teams full of weaknesses. He came back in less than a year from a gruesome injury where his foot was parallel to his body and lead the team to 12 wins. Again with a team who couldn’t stop the run or consistently run. He’s a winner and one of the best leaders at QB the Cowboys have ever had.

Yup. It's just typical horrific mgmt by the Jones parade.

I think this offense will be a top 6 to 7 offense and this dense will be better than a top 10. I agree we have had many seasons where offense or defense has to carry the weight. I expect both side to carry their own. I may be in the minority but I think this season will be better than many feel.

I do too. Especially if we can get Farniok playing C at a high level.

As usual, this season depends on many players that no one thinks about: Farniok, Tyler, Hill, Osa, Ridgeway, Two LB's not name Micah, any S who can play, and a 2nd WR stepping up. What concerns me most, as usual, are the DT's. We still don't get it, trying to find gems in the 5th.

that’s all nice But when you’re in a big game and need some magic he simply has none. He’s not a special talent. I’m not Impressed by stats.

you telling me he had no run game and all I hear from analysts is how teams stack the box and dare dak to beat them and he simply can’t. Not the great teams.

He used to be a good quarterback with good mobility on a great team. Now he’s a good quarterback with limited mobility on an ok team.

My opinion is unassailable. I’m telling you why things are the way they are. We need a game changing quarterback one day. This guy ain’t it. Since when do we settle for mediocrity we’re the Dallas darn cowboys gosh danit

What we need even more is a proper player assessment by the GM, and the team built accordingly around that player's skillset. Instead, Jerry optimistically believes he's as good as Mahomes and Brady and Burrows and Herbert and builds the team as if he is. That's why we fail in the playoffs.
For example, look at what Jerry did to Romo. Romo was a good QB, but he was weak on slants, crosses, and corner end zone throws. Soooooo, what does Jerry do? Gives up major resources to acquire Roy Willams. Know what Roy Williams did at an exceedingly high level? Yup, slants and crosses. Those were his bread and butter and running those routes is how he put up 1,300 yds at DET in 07. Horrific assessment and inability to see beyond his primarily erroneous misplaced optimism.

Mahomes went to a team that made it to several AFC championship games before he was in the NFL. He had top WR & TE in the league along with one of the best OL and it still took a choking Jimmy “g” overthrow for him to win a SB.

Once his line got exposed he wasn’t poo in the SB, looked like a chicken with its head cut off.
What previous seasons are you referring to that the Chiefs went to championship games before Mahomes arrived?

I haven't brought up Rodgers. Must be someone else.

But you guys are absolute hypocrites. You praise Mahomes and his huge contract while he gets surrounded with a very good Oline, good WRs, good TE and good RBs, while you bash Dak for not having any of those weapons that Mahomes is surrounded with.

That's why I say, quit messing around. If you're going to be hypocrites against your own QB and team, go follow another QB and team instead. Nothing worse in this world than backstabbing, cutthroat hypocrites who supposedly call themselves fans.
Amen brother. Amen.
