While I understand the concept behind stashing guys like Rush and Maher on the practice squad, why not just wait until they IR Tyron Smith, James Washington, and probably others like Waletzko and just keep them on the 53?

You can only call up guys from the PS three times, so if they keep Maher there he has to be on the 53 by week four or we need another kicker.

Stories out of DC, the Department of Justice makes move to break up Risen Star as a virtual monopoly.

Mr Star is reported to be calling “Friends” in New Jersey to deal with this threat.

As “News” develops more will follow.

This is a very interesting move. They can call up a player so many times before they have to go to the active roster. If he is any good, you would expect him to be promoted at some point. Sounds like they are protecting the original 53 like it’s their daughter’s virginity. I like what I am seeing from the Cowboys ownership.

I don't get it with Grier.

He is not good.
But he was dang good in college. I can't for the life of me understand how that seems to almost never translate to the nfl. Josh Rosen comes to mind, Ryan Leaf and many others. I am pulling for Grier as I enjoyed watching him at WVU and hoped that we would draft him back then. He is here till he isn't I guess. Till then I will lend support his way.

It says in the tweet that he's expected to be the K against the Bucs.
Nothing like churning the roster right up til kickoff....McCarthy....the ever cut throat coach....

Yeah.....I didn't buy it either.

Comes off as a ******* not knowing what to do....is more like it.

Coaching, scheme and the inability to pull the trigger. These dudes go from slinging the rock around the field to just dumping it off

And who makes them tentative to sling the rock at this level? Is it the coaching or their fear of int's?

Yes, which is even more pathetic because anyone could have reached out to sign him.

You can't tell me he would rather be on our practice squad than on a team.
There is not a limit on how much they can pay him while on the practice squad...
