Respectfully, I strongly dislike all of the whining. It makes it really annoying and frustrating
yes, but you cant make it disappear, yes this post was clear and to the point but others are way more subtle but have the same affect on a thread.

There are a ton of Cowboys fans in this world. One less won't hurt us. So I say, don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out. I hope it's not so bad that you're on the ledge threatening to jump. You won't like my reply to that.

Dak probably won't be able to get us there. If he doesn't do better I'll probably start criticizing him more too. I was very angry at him for his play in that playoff game. But it won't matter in the end. We can have a HOF qb here and I think we'd still fall short in the playoffs. Look at Aaron Rogers. He hasn't done anything in 12 years.
Off topic. This thread has nothing to do w/ Dak.

Reading the OP would've made you sound less foolish.

I plan to stay a Cowboys fan as long as I can stomach it. For the longest time, I've been a diehard Cowboys fan. However, I just have to ask. Why should I stay a Cowboys fan? This is the first time I can remember truly questioning it. However, the statements Jerry made about essentially wanting us to be talked about being more important than winning guts me as a young fan. I started watching this franchise in about 2000. I gobbled up everything Cowboys, and I still always want to stay on this board. That said, what's the point of cheering on a team when the owner cares more about the Forbes Bowl than winning the Super Bowl? It's clear now why he makes the moves he makes. It's clear to me now why he won't do what it takes to win, such as a proper GM, better coaching, and why it's always one side of the ball that's atrocious and one side that's not.

I'm writing this thread to ask for help. Help me to understand why I should stay a fan. I plan to do so just because I don't have another team I'd support, and I enjoy this board. Overall, I still very much enjoy the Cowboys, and I like our players. However, Jerry's statements felt like a slap to the face when I've taken every insult from other fans. I spurned the Eagles, whom most of my family supports. I spurned the Broncos when my favourite animal is clearly a horse. I spurned the Texans when they started to stay a Cowboys supporter. I've happily taken the insults. And for what? A team who is run by an owner who couldn't care less about winning?

Again, I'm NOT quitting the Cowboys. I'm more venting my anger with what Jerry stated and asking for help on why I should carry on as I plan to do so as a Cowboys fan.

Also, for those who say "You're a quitter", I've been one of the most positive fans on this board. I've always tried to stay positive no matter what. I'm still trying to stick to the Cowboys. Also, how would you respond to Jerry's comments if you were in my shoes having never seen us get to the NFC Championship game?
You know what, reading this post just made me realize Jason Garrett was not a horrible head coach. Jason was an offensive guy and he gave his defensive coordinators every player they wanted. Jason himself said that in the interview. So, as offensive head coach, he was going to take care of the offensive side of the ball. And he was hoping his defensive coordinators would take care of the defensive side of the ball. The only problem is he had horrible defense coordinators most of the time. Rob Ryan wasn't bad, but Dallas stopped running a 3-4 defense. Monte Kiffin had one year. Then came the disaster of all disasters Rod Marinelli. So, Garrett's concept would have worked, if he had better defensive coordinators.

The reason I say Jason Garrett wasn't a horrible head coach, because his very same concept is being used right now. Only now, it's Dan Quinn that is being given every player that he wants. And with Quinn being a better defensive coordinator, we are seeing this defense get better. Mike McCarthy is going to take care of the offense, just like Garrett did. So, if we can have a high performing offense and a rock solid defense, then we have a chance.

My response to your question... Why should you remain a Cowboys fan? Because, for the first time in a long time, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel on the defensive side of the ball. Our offensive line has plenty of question marks, but that would be fixed in the next off season. So, with a better offensive line next year and a defense that is young and hungry, there's no telling what we can accomplish. Who knew, Jason Garrett had the right idea, but surrounded himself with the wrong people!

So if it happens, I guarantee you, you will be mad at yourself for missing our super season.

That and the fact I just can't bring myself to leaving the Cowboys.

I would guess that he wants an owner that places winning first. Jerry could make even more from fielding championship teams. Fans wouldn’t care how much money he made.
Yes, Jerry knows this too.

Just be the fan you want to be and know that frustration is a part of it.
I've been a fan of the San Antonio Spurs for over 3 decades and felt the 90's frustrations and then came the glorious years of the Tim Duncan Era.

Now I'm coming to grips with the most likely fact that the Spurs will never win anything ever again because of their situation.

This is the life of being a fan.

Now suck it up big boy and enjoy this vast family that cares about you.
Which includes myself.
That's what it's all about.

Same here bro. NFL and NBA are the only pro sports that I still follow religiously.

Watching the 90s Cowboys Dynasty while I was still young and thinking that was just normal, until we started losing again, helped me prepare for the reality of today and the Spurs.

No dynasty lasts forever, enjoy it while you can get the most out of it.

(BTW, With a little bit of luck, Spurs can get that high pick and the freaky tall French man, and here we go with another big man to build the dynasty. LOL)

I enjoy Euro Football such as the PL.

I will just say this.

I don't understand why someone would take a ton of pride on how many more Cowboys fans that there are in this world.
The same reason the CCP takes pride in 1.35 billion Chinese on this earth.

I suppose you didn't read the spots where I said I'm not quitting, and I'm staying with the Cowboys. As stated later, I was saying this out of disgust for what Jerry said that made me feel that he put views over winning. That said, I just can't bring myself to quitting.

Dude, if you have to ask why, you already stayed too long. The Comancheros need you now!
