How is holding a highly compensated employee given more responsibility throwing him under “ the bus “ when your asking to have him step up. Cooper Rush could sure use some less drops against the Bengals

Because a lot of the position they put him in was on them. Their off-season saying he was a 1 despite what we had seen is a bigger issue than him. So defenses know right know..Lamb..and we will ignore Houston and Brown. I do get drop concerns but not egregious when they were a foot behind him. Needs to catch those but all around this O was garbage

Who knew that trading away One of the best route runners in the game today without a true replacement would have a negative impact? Who?
What's funny is alot of the homer Dallas sports media have defended it by saying "oh it's not a big deal because Lamb is ready to be a #1"

It's like uh that's literally NOT how this works. It's not one or the other, there both on the field at the same time.......... (having 2 great receivers is obviously better than having 1, it's not "oh we'll we have the other guy so no big deal")

Cooper has been the worry of teams for years. Maybe he no longer has it, but we certainly don't have him or a comparable threat to replace him.

But we paid Shulz and Gallup. Clown Team.

Paying Gallup over Wilson was a head scratcher.

But thinking a 3rd round reach could replace Amari is incompetence pure and simple.

Stephen and Jerry never learn from their mistakes.

I get criticism of our players when they don't do well. Lamb didn't play well. That's fine and the criticism is warranted.

What is a steaming pile of crap though is having your co-GM call you out as being a problem in a loss WHEN THE CO-GMs ARE AS MUCH TO BLAME AS THE PLAYERS.

Shut the $##% up Stephen, you pompous ***. You want to criticize Lamb? You want to criticize the coaches for not playing starters in preseason? Fine. Just make sure you start off your list of grievances by admitting you and your father ***** up the roster and took risks that blew up in your faces.

If you can't admit what a disaster your WR room is outside of Lamb, then calling out Lamb is just one steaming pile of BS, you fraud.

STICKY THIS POST!!!

Dak & CeeDee are the Jone's boys draft choices. They only have themselves and their scouts to blame. Time to TANK!

let's follow that logically to the conclusion, you believe that the Jones boys cannot draft and build a team, yet if we "tank", then they will be entrusted to rebuild said team,,, not sure how anyone can see that turning out well

This is an excellent counter point.

I think maybe both sides to the argument may have some merit but to publicly criticize your employee may not have been the best way to achieve the solution to the problem.

BUT, that has historically been the Jones Way.

So there's that.

I see nothing wrong with this comment. Why shouldn’t he challenge Ceedee? Last year, as the number 2 guy, we berated him for dropping passes. Now we should expect even more if he’s the #1.

The problem is that a #2 wr really needs a #1, and in today’s NFL, if you don’t have a #2 who can play like a #1, the #1 will struggle with double teams and bracket coverage.

As a group, our WRs are currently hot garbage and easily the worst in our division.

Hard to get seperation on zones that the DB's are waiting for you to get there...again the execution was pitiful and the players need to shoulder that...but again how do we know that the players have not lost all faith in the scheme? its been locked down for the better part of 6 games in a row against good defenses...I did not see any changes other than 3 screwy trick plays from our OC might as well threw up a white flag saying "I got nothing".

I just watched a breakdown on YouTube with the all 22 of a few plays and if those are indicative of our offense than our is trash.

Several plays where we sent out 2 receivers to go against 7 defenders. One where Lamb and Shultz ran to they exact same area 15 yards down the middle of the field.

Last year Kurt Warner broke down some plays from the San Fran playoff game and it seemed like Moore made critical fundamental errors in the design of some plays used in key times and it appears nothing has changed.

It’s been 1 game. And we knew they would watch him. It’s going to take another WR to step up also in a big way to take pressure off Lamb. I always thought Lamb was a great slot guy. Put him with a true #1 and descent #2 and he will shine. JJ has thrown Dak and Lamb under the bus. Dak has a broken hand and they will now bring heat on every play to shake up Rush. Will stack the line and stuff the run. Rush needs to have Moore call short passes. We can win some games but we have to hang in there till Dak returns.

A whole bunch here minimized Coop's impact on CeeDee's production.
Many here also said CeeDee was already a WR1.
None of those are here making confessions now.

Not knowing their own WR talent level nor addressing it with better than a Washington acquisition was poor F.O. judgment and lack of planning.

And to hopefully wish that the OL,back up QB and kicker can all hold up as well should be of major concern also.

You reap what you sow.

The Joneses should stick to marketing.
They're no good at roster building.

Because the person issuing the comment sucks at their job, and demonstrates zero personal accountability for the roster, yet he's demanding that of someone else?

It rings hollow.

Yes he is lost on how to beat full cover zone its game 8 now against anyone who has a good defense they will sit back a see if KM can be patient and move the ball..he can not. Man does not even know how to use a middle screen on umbrella zone..keeps throwing WR screens at it knowing the flat zone CB will be sitting there.....again look at the players faces on offense they have that "What the hell are we doing" look.

really, they paid Gallup a boat load and will be back this week or next , they put Schultz on the FT paying him a lot, Washingtons coming back Turpin has skills,.,no hot garbage, i mean i guess packers and chiefs did the same or is it that those qbs just failed to elevate those payers they had in which Mahomes was able to do with a lot of average WRS? they were schemed open and the qb hit them.

you are calling out or GM as look around the league and watch teams like the packers do the same or worse Lamb better then any WR they have and at least Gallups about to be back..so take that garbage assessment after one game and out it out on the curb,. so our GM and VP asked CD and our offense to go One or 2 games before help comes and that an issue LMAO/.. CD is first round picks and many of those should be able to show up and elevate their game when needed, no help no hiding, step up.

it was bad game mostly in play calling ie the run game was working and zeke was eating and somehow Moore lost his mind tried to be cute used pollard too much which is narrative around here that pollards better, umm not when zekes fresh and healthy. You leave him on the bench,

MOORE not our players is the biggest issue we have..

I'm going to be honest, this is such astonishingly bad grammar that I seriously didn't want to respond and give you cause to write more posts. Please at least try to do better.

Stephen should do his job better before he belittles the players for not doing their jobs. You should ask yourself why you are defending him when he is trashing a player that was bracketed for large portions of the game because the Bucs didn't respect the other receivers. If you are blaming Moore for the play calling, then guess who wanted him back this offseason? The Jones Boys. Still their fault. Want to blame McCarthy? Guess who signs his checks. But, Stephen didn't trash Moore, he trashed CeeDee Lamb for running the routes that he was instructed to run.

Stephen is throwing Lamb under the bus because he has been around long enough to know that fans and talking heads are going to start pointing the finger at him and Jerry yet again. It's a cowardly deflection in the hopes that the front office doesn't get the pressure thrown on them. Stephen knows he could have signed a free agent to a very reasonable contract back in August, but they chose to ride with what they had. Compare that to the team they just played. The Bucs knew that Godwin might miss a few weeks and they signed Julio Jones to a very reasonable contract in late August. Dallas could have signed Julio Jones to that same contract.

Comparing the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers and the Chiefs is completely laughable. The Chiefs and Packers have made the playoffs eight out of the last ten years. The Chiefs and Packers have been to four conference championship games each in the last ten years. The Chiefs won a Super Bowl. Dallas has been to the playoffs four times in that span and they haven't sniffed a conference championship game in over twenty-five years. Comparing two of the most well run franchises in the NFL to this dog and pony show is about as homer as one can get. Both Green Bay and KC deserve some benefit of the doubt considering their team building has produced results this last decade that Dallas can only dream of.

If you want to ride or die with Stephen then feel free, but Dallas has been a pushover for the top teams since way before CeeDee Lamb and Kellen Moore were Cowboys.

CeeDee as a 1 has been a huge disappointment, both in the past when he has functioned like that and this past week.

CeeDee obviously thinks he is awesome, he needs to be taken down a notch and step up.

Good for Stephen.
i have no problem with jones speaking out against lamb. he needs to step up and be the number 1 and not the number three. i have a feeling that gallop is really our new number one receiver. we need him back badly.
