You’ll nit see a recovery ruled so fast again. They just started to fight for the ball and the ref was saying it was over.

Parsons was the first to posses it.
first and last..a review most likely gives that back..

This happens on a weekly basis. Most of the times it’s based on sheer ignorance of the rules or they simply refuse to acknowledge what video evidence shows, and it’s always infused with some unsubstantiated conspiratorial claims.

It also involves drinking while watching the games I can see the alcohol fogging their judgement of the situation.

I thought it was a tie to be honest, being objective. Tie goes to the offensive player I believe in that situation.
The fandom in me wants to believe that you are wrong. But, the reality of this is that I think you're spot on.

Cincy had one arm around it while 11 had both arms around it. BS call

This is not true. Mixon never had possession.

Just watched it again. Micah dove for the ball had 2 hands on it, Mixon slightly closer then dove on the ball and gutted it in a fetal position while Micah was still fighting for it against his chest. As the ref finally called it, Mixon let go and Micah still had it grasped to his chest. If you want to declare it 50/50, Bengals still win that call. Review would have lost.

You are blind. Mixon never had possession so it was never a tie.

Mixon had possession with one arm. So it was the right call.

I don't know if it was the right call but I understood it.. If they adjudged Mixon to have control with one hand the play was dead the instant Parsons touched him. I assume that was what they ruling was because it was clear that Parsons snatched the ball away pretty much instantly.

I clearly saw both players scrapping for the ball. Micah only ended up with the ball because the refs had already awarded Cincy with the ball. When there is a duel possession, the ball goes to the offense.

You are blind. Mixon never had possession so it was never a tie.

I repeat, Parsons did not have clear recovery. It was in the gut of Mixon.

It should have atleast been reviewed by the booth. It wasn't a clear recovery by either player

Actually you have it backwards.. The ball was never in Mixon's gut..

Here is the sequence..

1) Mixon reaches out his right arm and tries to cup the ball.

But he never controls it..

You can see the ball already bouncing up off the turf even before Parsons gets his hands on it.

Then as Mixon tries to pull the ball in you see it bouncing up.. This is what they used to claim Dez didn't catch it because the ball moved when it hit the turf.

Then you see Parsons helping the ball move around by getting his left hand under it.

Then even more of the ball gets exposed as they wrestle for it.

So now you see Parsons is winning the tug of war as even more of the ball gets exposed. And Parsons' arm is now between the ball and Mixon's helmet.

I would say by this point Parsons has more control of the ball.. THe ball is cupped in his left arm against hsi chest while Mixon only had it sitting on his forearm.

This is the money shot to me.. Here you see that Parsons has rolled over to his side and now has the ball in HIS gut and Mixon is now trying to wrest it away from HIM.

WHich he actually does because when the unpile Parsons still has the ball in his gut.

Bottom line is the ball was never in Mixon's gut.. not in his control and the damn play should have been reviewed.

I just watched this again, and I need someone to explain that one to me. At no point did Cincy have clear possession of the ball, and obviously Parsons had the ball in the end. How do they give the ball to the Bengals there?
I agree. But knew the refs were going to do that.

Pretty darn obvious that Mixon never had possession when Micah grabbed it.

The refs apparently gave the tie to the Offense.

I agree that's what they did.. I just don't agree that it was ever really a tie. The first person to get two hands on the ball was Parsons.. The first person to bring the ball into his body was Parsons.. Yes Mixon always had at least one hand in there but at no point in time did he have control of it.
