He played less than 450 snaps last year, so he definitely hasnt played enough to shake the injury prone label. Especially considering his long injury history

Fortunately Hooker has not missed time this year with the Cowboys since starting.
I'll keep him handy as long as he holds up, and then have 2nd year Izzy (who also has being getting some valuable safety time) ready to go, should that happened..

Or you could just pull Hooker on running downs and limit his exposure to injury. Hooker is a coverage S anyways

Yeah, and there have been comments here to just let him walk after the season.

i don’t want to let him walk but there are a lot of factors. Kearse is a similar player and under contract, Wilson will likely want to be paid much more by someone else and esp if Quinn leaves so will he

my guess is he walks for a combination of those reasons

I'd love to keep Kearse, Wilson and Hooker and let a LB go. This team suffered for years with less than great safety play. Now, they're great

Or if i'm the opposing teams, just make sure i'm passing on first, early downs ..?

If i'm worried about a secondary DB player being hurt, he wouldn't/shouldn;t even be on this team.

You put Wilson at FS on running downs. Like I said before he has the range and diagnostic ability to defend play action

If you dont want injury players, then you definitely shouldnt be all in on Hooker. He might be the most injury prone secondary player in the NFL. Sprinkling Cowboy Dust on him isnt changing that

Dallas gotta find a way to extend Wilson, he will be UFA in 2023. In the prime of his career. These guys don't grow on trees, or are on aisle 5 at your local Costco. We finally have him groomed and now gonna let him go. Idiotic. There are other players here who can be let go and we know who they are.

Kid is playing at a high level. Our defense overall is playing at a high level but Donovan stands out weekly.

That is because I believe that he will stay as coordinator and Jerry will pay him a lot of money to do so. I see a lot of good things happening for the cowboys.
I think Jerry will make every effort financially to keep Quinn.
But he has been a HC before and that position might be the only thing to keep him here.
Some of these guys have a lot of drive and he might only be happy as a HC.
