Get rid of instant replay.

Its not the fault of instant replay. Its the fault of the NFL for not using correctly in this situation. Instant replay was used to overturn calls that are obviously wrong. This was not obviously wrong at all. It was obviously the right call which they made it wrong. Thus NFL is the one to blame for this fiasco. I would like to know why that was overturned and please don't give me the Calvin Johnson rule because the rule doesn't apply to that.

I'm in the camp if all that happened prior isn't catch/control/move, then this is a TD.

Ball hits the ground while Dez controls it (thumb doesn't move, nor do his other fingers), rolls off the ground in his grasp/on top of his hand, and contact with his helmet/shoulder pads cause it to roll out of his hand. It would still be live until he finishes control in the endzone, touchdown.

It's about frame 5-7 in the first one, 15 in the second, and frame 4 in the last one where it's off the ground with control.

Dear God why did my laptop have to die today!!!

Ok. I'll ask you too. How many steps would it take for the fall/dive not to be part of the catch?
He took 3.
Obviously 10-15 and it would no longer be part of the process. So what is it?
Also, as Staubacher pointed out a couple of times the Bengals play last year and the complete contradiction of the fall being part of the process.

First, I didn't see the Cincinnati play so I can't comment on it.
Second, I thought it was a catch.
Third, as it was explained to me, the fact that Dez caught the ball and in one continuous motion goes to the ground (whether he intended to or not), if the ball makes contact with the ground, it's an incomplete pass.
Fourth, just because a ref calls it one way in one game and not in another doesn't necessarily mean bias. Refs are human. I'm a baseball umpire. Sometimes my strike zone is high, sometimes it's low. I'm not trying to be bias. I try to be consistent, but because I'm human, I don't always get it right.

Of course he would have. They never even should've played the game.

I think you may have misinterpreted my comment. When I said, this shouldn't have been a game, I mean the Cowboys should have blown the Packers out. The lack of a pass rush kept the Packers in the game and, ultimately, contributed to their victory.

Search for "Bill Burr - The Dez Bryant Catch 01-11-15" on youtube. Has a ton of bad language but its hilarious.

The NFL runs the network. They are in full blown damage control. Even Cowboy haters know the team got hosed. They are trying to limit the damage.

They definitely know how to go into propaganda mode. That Ray Rice report was on constant spin and it was during the playoffs.

Not a big fan of the NFLN by any means but if we did get the catch and eventual TD I am guessing the odds were pretty high that Rodgers would have marched them right down the field and won on a last second FG. If we had TCOB the silly call wouldn't have mattered.
So sick of hearing about this.........

It's a disgrace and a joke. the biggest screw job in the history of sports. and no outrage from anyone but a few cowboys fans like myself. i will not watch the championship games this weekend in protest of this screw job.

Has nothing to do with the bs they called. cowboys would have had the lead. then whatever happens, will happen. it was a disgrace. the NFL has no cred left.
