Wasn't this on a kickoff return when there were already guys at the 10-yard line?

yes but with dunbars size and build and previous injury history was it smart to have him return kicks or punts ??
To me it was stupid, since he had more value as a receiver out of backfield.

Of course. I would take him. I doubt the front office has the guts.

Why do you have to make it personal? I would prefer to think they would make a consensus pick using the best interest of the club.

My guess is they have to answer the question about QB or not. Then they need to look at pass rush then pass defense. These will help the club more than a RB even though this one seems special.

I wouldn't put Zeke in a tier above some of the others on their list.

Why do you take every remark about the FO personally is the question.

They don't have the guts to draft EE at 4.

Because of the use of personal words on his and your part. You personalize the statement rather than see it objectively. And that is my professional opinion within a reasonable degree of certainty.

I would say they, in a professional way, would probably not spend a R1-4 on a RB thinking that a prudent decision.

So he tore it all?

He tore his MCL and ACL as well as patellar tendon. I don't know if it was a infrapatellar tear but I suspect so. He did not tear the meniscus and he suffered no nerve damage. All this suggests a Grade III tear of the MCL and who knows about the ACL but that doesn't matter in the end so much anymore like it once did. The patellar tendon tear will likely be the most suspect followed by the MCL then the ACL. Unless the knee is unstable then the problem will be the patellar tendon repair. All we can do is hope for the best. If he makes it to the practice field then we'll know a lot more just by his being there.

I'm not pessimistic at all. Just a tad optimistic with reserve.

That's unfortunate as the patellar tendon tear is probably the most devastating injury in sports to come back from. ACL surgery has come a long way but patellar tendon tears and microfracture surgeries have become near-impossible recoveries lately. We saw last year with Victor Cruz all the complications that relate to that injury.

I wish the team would just stop wasting time on a player who simply can't stand up to the physical demands of the NFL. I don't want to seem cold or unfeeling because I can sympathize with the guy's plight. But, while I can feel bad for his personal situation, I also understand that this is a business and the team needs players that it can count on. Lance Dunbar is not one of those players.

And we've seen far too many cases of this team signing, drafting, or relying on physically unreliable players and getting burned in the process. It's time for them to stop that pattern and it should start here.

You could have said that about Murray before 2014.

The fact is some players just have bad luck. It doesn't mean their bones or ligaments are any weaker than their counterparts.

Sorry, I'm not believing in "luck". Not for Sean Lee, and certainly not for Lance Dunbar. If it happens once? Sure. Twice? You're justified in starting to wonder. Any more than that? The pattern is clear and if you refuse to admit it, then It's on you for blinding yourself to the truth.

The sad fact is that Lance Dunbar has gotten injured each and every time this team has used him or counted on him, and it's past time for that pattern to stop.

I agree if its the same injury over and over, but I don't buy the lazy injury prone label when a guy breaks his foot and then pulls groin or something dissimilar.

If it's fact, how is it "lazy"?

It's not opinion or bias that Lance Dunbar has been repeatedly hurt, it's fact.

Repeatedly injured is injury prone.

OK, so Murray is injury prone despite the fact he was carried 30 + times each game in 2014 with out incident. I suppose Payton Manning was injury prone as well. I guess DEZ is injury prone since he has back spams and broke his foot. Heck, I guess 90% of the NFL is injury prone.

Their situations are nothing like Dunbar's. And I'm not about to enter into your reductio ad absurdum attempt at debating it.
