If you think Johnson and Dilfer were the driving forces behind those SB wins, absolutely.
Wait, you didn't say anything about driving forces. Don't change the argument because Eli wasn't the driving force in either of his super bowl wins.

By definition SB MVP means Eli was the driving force and he did it twice. Bus drivers, Johnson and Dilfer have no SB MVP honors.

 Really, Eli was the driving force behind holding imo the deadliest offense ever to 14 points? Can you point me out to the defensive position he played? Eli was the perfect example of a bus driver in that first run. In the second run he was better, but nothing special, still carried by the defense.

You have obviously allowed your fanhood for Romo and the Cowboys and thus your dislike for Eli and the Giants to blind you from what is most coveted in the NFL. It's not passer ratings or regular season consistency or any of those other things that has you thinking Romo is so wonderful. SB glory is the ultimate goal. SB MVP is the gravy on top and Eli has two of each.

Sure, what he got is what is most sought after, but that doesn't accurately portray the skill involved. If you have anything to say after this, have fun because you still haven't said anything other than ringzz!!!11!!1! and tried to act like Eli actually deserved a SB MVP let alone both

Look dude, I get it. I think Romo is ten times the QB Eli is too but that is not what we are talking about. When these two gentlemen's careers are finally over, the none Cowboys homer world is going to have a much easier time justifying enshrining Eli into the Pro Football HoF than they will Romo. It's not fair, I agree but that is the reality of it.

Has there ever been a QB with 2 playoff wins in a decade that is considered to be elite? lol. Maybe Phillip Rivers, but he has more than 2 playoff wins and an AFC championship appearance. This has to be the first. When I think of elite QBs, I think Brady and Rodgers. Romo is nowhere near that level. Not even close.

The average shallow fan only regards a quarterback as elite if he wins Super Bowls...inspite of what kind of supporting cast he enjoys.

So...it looks like you've self-defined the type of fan you are.

I'm totally fine. I just hope Cowboy nation is ready for the fall. I don't see this season going anything like last year. More holes now than before.

And I'm sure after Romo went down in August you didn't see last year going anything like the way it ended up going. So you can keep your condescending "hope they're ready for the fall" crap.

Based on all of the information that's available, moving on from Tony Romo is absolutely, 100% the right move. As sad as it may be for some folks.

And please stop with all of this "the Texans are immediately the best team in Texas with Romo on their roster" nonsense. He can't stay healthy and bottom line is NO ONE knows how good or bad he'll be on a new team.

If you want to call someone an average shallow fan then have the guts to own that discernment.

That's because you don't understand the game of football whatsoever.

Elite players dont choke when it counts the most. When was the last time Brady had an epic meltdown the way Romo had vs the Commanders in 2012 to get into the playoffs? Hell, Brady completed the greatest comeback in history just last month with everything on the line. You can continue living in la la land, but Romo is going to retire with 2 playoff wins in his entire career and only Romo homers will believe this guy was an elite player.

If you think he is elite, then you must think he is on par with Brady and Rodgers, which is absolutely laughable.

You say he is elite. So he is on par with Brady and Rodgers? LOL. Just lol. And I am clueless here. A 2 wildcard playoff win QB, who was benched for a rookie QB, is on par with Brady and Rodgers...since you consider him to be elite. Nothing else to say.

In 2014, he was better than both. He's never had the teams they've had.

He's top 5 for sure when healthy.

Yeah, Romo won one playoff game that year while being a game manager. And, quite frankly, Lions would have won that game if it wasnt for a bs call. Brady was too busy completing historic drives and winning more championships that year.

Brady never played with a hof WR and a hof te on the same team. Brady played one season with a no 1 receiver. Just one. And Moss was way past his prime, and Brady managed to set all kinds of records that year. Delusional to compare a guy with as many playoff wins as Alex Smith to the greatest QB ever.

And Rodgers? The same Rodgers who consistently has had terrible defenses and no run game, yet he still manages to make the playoffs every year? Tell me one season where Romo played with the worst defense in the league and the worst run game in the league and managed to go 15-1, just like Rodgers did in 2011? Never happened.

Quite the contrary actually. Rodgers never played with the teams Romo had. Best run game in the league, elite o-line, hof te, hof wr, 13 pro bowlers on the same team, top 2 defense is points allowed... am I missing something?

Did they ever suffer through historically bad defenses like Romo? I mean, the worst statistical defenses the NFL has ever seen? No, they didn't. Romo had. Terrible offensive lines and embarrassingly horrific defenses.

This isn't hard.
