Moore that gets cut?
Moore SHOULD be cut......IMO he hasn't really earned and spot on the 53 by his play much less earned the #2 spot.

If he is in fact handed the backup spot by not earning it, then they should do away with positional competition in training camp because the player that has clearly outplayed his competion did not win it.

If offered a reduction to 2 games should he take it? 2 games this year or six games next year?

He should feel as Blessed as anyone that he's getting any kind of paycheck from anywhere in the NFL.
He's a charity case, right about now. Old boy should be in Houston, rescuing people for that check..

Only if they amend their statement about him being a woman beater. They have repeatedly stated they are not a court of law so their decisions should not have to meet that of a courts, but that does not give them a right to brand a person something especially if they were never charged.

The only way this matters is if he gets the suspension reduced or cancelled altogether, which is highly unlikely. Without that, he ends up missing 6 weeks in the meat of the season or some other such nonsense.

From my understanding the suspension can't be enforced prior to HH ruling on the appeal. I'd imagine that the paperwork will be in the courthouse before or at least within minutes of the announcement of the outcome of the appeal. The NFLPA and the NFL are going to be fighting jurisdiction, each hoping to get a more favorable locale. Frankly, I expect that Zeke basically plays this year and its gets adjudicated some point after the season ends.

I think it's a given that Zeke is playing week one. Now I have to wonder if that means this team keeps four running backs and a fullback going into the season?

If they do, it only tightens things up offensively.

You want to keep RICO and four TE's.

Noah Brown and 6 receivers?

And it sounds like they'll stubbornly keep Kellen Moore and 3 quarterbacks.

Something's gotta give.

I wouldn't keep 4 TEs. I'd cut Hanna. Of course I wouldn't keep Moore either.

I have always thought there would be no resolution before Feb. 2018. This is all much to do about nothing in the end, I believe. Just something for people to talk about.

I would have done the same with Hanna, but from all I've heard and read, he's as good as he's ever been, and the knee issue isn't affecting him. That, and the team loves the guy and feels he was a key loss last year. I don't think he's going anywhere.

Kellen Moore sticking around at someone else's expense is the galling one.

If it's reduced, it stays reduced, no matter what other action Elliott takes.

Even if he were to somehow lose in court, he would still only serve the reduced suspension. He has nothing to lose other than money.

If they drop the suspension at least 2 games I think he should just serve it. This is strictly a football move, I'm not sure our depth at RB will be as stacked as this year and it will help with depth to begin the season. I'm sure some other players will get hurt to open up a roster spot for him when it's over.

The only reason to take it to court is if he is 100% innocent, then I get it for his reputation.

I would start a lie about Eli molesting children so they can give him 6 games, but I would rather that doofus play

I know you said this in " humor" but the reality is that the NFL has potentially opened the flood gates for just that, or claims of rape...

The NFLPA needs to get their act together regarding how the justice system integrates with the NFL punishment protocol or we may see more of this stuff go on.

Think of this some big league bettor pays someone to lodge false claims just to influence the outcome of games by affecting star players ability to compete.

But in the event that a reduction is *offered* with some conditions, and Zeke is given the choice to accept it, there would be something to lose. If he declines and the suspension remains at 6 games and court fails, then he loses 4 games. That's different than if Henderson just reduces it and then Zeke goes to court.

It doesn't need work that way. Henderson isn't going to offer a "deal". He's going to make a ruling based on information he has.
