John Madden once said that the “bust talk to each other when no one is there”, now they have TO to listen to his whining...hope he goes in as an eagle, they deserve each other.

They stopped having to declare a team to in on as about 20 years ago.

I know that the voters are not supposed to take off the field things into account and just judge players based on what they did on the field but to me that is wrong. Once a player is enshrined the NFL is saying these are people we should look up to, that little kids should look up to and use as a role model yet a player like Owens who has some very huge character flaws or lack of good character should not be the type of person anyone should be holding up as any kind of role model. I've heard several HOFers over the past few years say they have a problem with the way Owens has fractured every locker room he was ever in and because of that should not be in the HOF. This is why I've said for decades that the ONLY ones that should be voting on who enters any HOF regardless of the sport should be decided by the HOFers themselves. They should decide who gets to join their fraternity not some sportswriter who never played a single snap.

"One of the top 3 receivers to ever play" who, while still in the prime of his career, was deemed more trouble than he was worth by 3 different teams. That alone should have kept him out of the Hall, imho.
That's just silly. Hall of Fame is for the greatest players, not having Owens in would make it more of a farce then it already is

And I think it's silly to ignore the undeniable fact that Owens was a cancer who wore out his welcome everywhere he went, usually sooner rather than later.

https://www.thoughtco.com/randy-moss-antics-1335699

1995
- After signing a letter of intent to play his college football at Notre Dame, Moss took part in a racially-motivated fight at his high school in Belle, West Virginia. Moss pled guilty to battery and received probation and a 30-day suspended jail sentence. Because of the incident, Notre Dame revoked his scholarship.

1996 - While serving a 30-day jail sentence related to the previous incident, Moss tested positive for marijuana, violating his probation. He was released from the Florida State football program and served 60 extra days in jail for the probation violation.

2000 - In January, Moss was fined $25,000 for squirting an official with a water bottle. In November he was fined another $25,000 for touching an official.

2001 - Moss was fined $15,000 by the Vikings and required to receive anger management counseling for verbally abusing corporate sponsors on the team bus following a loss in November.

2001 - When questioned about his propensity to take plays off at times, Moss caused a stir by telling a Minneapolis newspaper columnist that he simply plays when he wants to play.

2002 - Moss was arrested after an incident in downtown Minneapolis in which he bumped a traffic control officer with his car, knocking her to the ground. He was ordered to pay a $1,200 fine and perform 40 hours of community service. Marijuana was allegedly found in his vehicle as well, but charges were later dropped.

2003 - The NFL fined Moss $5,000 for his role in a fight with the Chicago Bears during a September game. In November, he was fined another $5,000 for spiking a ball at the foot of Detroit Lions cornerback Dre' Bly.

2004 - Moss was fined $10,000 by the NFL after an end-zone celebration in which he pretended to pull down his pants and "moon" Green Bay Packers fans.

2004 - Moss also made negative news in 2004 for leaving the field with two seconds left in a loss to the Washington Commanders. Team leaders Matt Birk and Daunte Culpepper confronted Moss in the locker room after the game.

2005 - During HBO's "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel", Moss caused a bit of an uproar when he admitted he "might" still partake in the use of marijuana once "every blue moon".

I stopped reading after the "he plays when he wants to play", that's completely taken out of context and shows an agenda. Try looking up what he actually said instead of running with a bs narrative. Moss's teammates loved him in the locker room, Owens on the other hand .... He did 'quit' at times though which was a shame.

Has nothing to do with production on the field..... Which is what the Hall of Fame should be about. They shouldn't bring politics in it and do to so is silly

Judging a player's character isn't being political, it's deciding whether that player is a good role model, someone you want your kids to grow up looking at as a hero or role model. Owens is not, not even close. Owens was disliked in every locker room he was ever in. How many other HOFers played for SEVEN different teams because they wore out their welcome? If he was so great he wouldn't have bounced around on seven different teams except for his total lack of character and that's why character should be taken into account for admission into the HOF.

Yes Shaq shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame because he played for multiple teams. That's just insanity, the numbers prove otherwise just like Owens

I don't think "fact" means what you think it does. Nor does "undeniable" for that matter.

Bad try of trying to add apples and oranges. Shaq played on a couple different teams early because he chose to for more money and/or to play for a team that had a chance to win a championship not because he wore out his welcome. owens wore out his welcome EVERYWHERE he went. Later Shaq played for a few teams to try to extend his career when his skills started to diminish and could no longer keep going up and down the court at the pace the game was being played because of age. owens was a physical specimen, that wasn't his problem. He was/is a terrible person that destroyed every locker room he was ever a part of. It's sad that he was admitted into the HOF and it's has now reached new lows by doing it.

Not even remotely the situation, but whatever...
Dude said Owens changed teams and wasn't a role model.

Same thing. Shaq played for more teams, has beef with Kobe and would drop the F bomb in interviews during the game....... Yep totally different
