If I'm taking a 1T in the 1st round it's Vea. (I'd rather get a LB). Doubt Jewell or St. Brown gets to pick 81.
Vita Vea is flatout a stud, if he falls to you guys take him, you’ll LOVE the guy.
Being a UW fan I saw every game. Hoping Seattle would take him but we will likely trade out of the 1st round since we don’t have a 2nd or 3rd.

Who said that?

Regardless, they can keep him for that price.

They're demanding a 1st and a 3rd and have already turned down slightly less. Obviously, they don't really want to trade him within reason. I'd be totally content to take the best available at safety in the draft with that being the case. The Seahawk are just playing a game to maximize their agenda.

Would not give more than a 3rd if that.

I think he’s worth a third, maybe a third and a fourth, if his extension isn’t completely insane.

A player with a contract and with only 1 year left to me is worth nothing.

I'd offer a Fifth with the option to go up as high as a 4th. But never i gave up a pick where i supposed to find a starter anyways (1-3 or high 4th). For far less money.

Switzer replaces Beasley. Thomas is the best safety in football.

Easy.

Right now switzer replacing beasly is wishful thinking. Giving beasley away right now is a big risk because of that.

Regardless wether thomas is a great player you dont give up high draft picks for players under contract and only 1 year left. Thats just bad management of resouces. Oir defense and offense has alot of bigger holes. You can find easily (very good) starters with the first 4 picks we have.

The bigger the contract of a player is or the higher the contract he will command the lower is his trade value.

Never get emotional when it comes to trades. Leave it to people who know what they do. Other you get the results JJ got.

Your offer wouldn’t clear the hurdle of what they’d get back in a comp pick. That’d be a waste of time.

Thats their problem not mine.

So they stay with a player who holds out and right now nobody is interessted in him anyways. Next year they lose him and get nothing.

Switzer is bigger and faster than Beasley with the same hands. Don't waste two roster spots on the same guy if you can deal him to get Earl Thomas or something of value.

And I'm not real keen on Beasley's new fascination with releasing rap albums. He already quit the team once. I want football guys.

Would you give up picks for Earl at 29 or picks to move up and get the FSt Safety in the first? Machota says a 1st and 2nd for Derwin James in this mock

Switzer isnt as quick as beasley and idk if he really is faster. He has a high frequency with his step sequence but he does not eat alot of Space with his steps. He looks slow compared to others when he gets into the open field.

Switzer right now cant get seperation and cant run the jet sweep. I dont understand why we drafted him. The only idea i have because we wanted someone better then the one you ran the jet sweep before( cant remember his name right now) . But that failed up to date. After i watched his play last year there is no way he will take beasleys spot if he doesnt get alot better. Camp will show and the preseaon games. Thats the earliest when i would decide between beadley and him. But right now would be a great risk.

Huh? Switzer doesn't get caught from behind. Beasley ALWAYS gets caught from behind.

Teams have figured out how to take Beasley out of the offense. You just bracket him inside and out. He can't go downfield, nor does Dak want to throw it there anyway.

Beasley is a nice player, although it amazes me that he isn't dead yet. He gets absolutely pummeled.

My 02 cents:
Earl Thomas is a good but not great player.
He'd almost immediately come here and while an upgrade likely disappoint as fans would expect this defense to never allow a pass completion again.

He's a top 5 Free Safety. I'm not sure he'll be top 3 next year but he has been top 3 for the last 5 years on aggregate.
That means he is pretty darn good. But again that's not All Pro.
His All Pro days may well have passed him by.
But he's still really good and would start here obviously and help this young DB crew grow up.

He's a year older and was born about an hour away from Dez Bryant.
They aren't the exact same guy but let's not mistake that they are very similar.
And yes I know your friends favorite beat reporter(who's still swearing there's a Dez tape) told you Dez was a bad guy but keep in mind ET is holding out right now.
He's not Jason Witten if you are looking for "Garrett guys".
He's about his money. Kinda like Dez.

Sooo... all in all I'd say you'd be back in a Dez situation in a year or so. Declining player on massive deal.
I'd prolly take that risk since it isn't my money but not if it means giving up pick 19 or 50.
SEA is the one in the tough spot.
They reportedly wanna go cheaper on defense and shift money to weapons for Russell.
I'm not giving them high draft picks plus eating salary to do.

I'd wait and offer 81. Maybe as much as a 2nd next year.
But mostly I'm waiting because the power shifts toward me every day I wait.
ET wants to get paid or he will do the bare minimum team stuff this year and just play to hit free agency.
SEA likely won't recoup more than a 4th round comp pick for him if that happens.

Naturally with Dez gone and some of his Salary available the Earl Thomas talk has been a hot talk again. The last talk with Seattle was our 1st and 3rd Rounders do you think this is still what Seattle wants or what will they actually end up taking our 1st, 2nd, 3rd or still a combo...............

What will it take to trade for him and what kind of salary ?
I hope we let Thomas alone.

I do not want to trade away any pics.

He is recovering from an injury.

This would be crazy.

Next year when he is a FA and we see how 2018 goes for him.

Next he will show up in the Rams locker room looking for his next deal.

Is it not special?
