Yes, I know his fumble was unforgivable. He also whiffed on the two wide open wrs for td on a single play.

But you can see the confidence growing in his throwing, he's starting to look down field for those chunk plays. I say we stick it out with him this season. I think he's in the middle of finding his stride right now. That being said, if he regresses or doesn't continue on this path depending on our options in FA/ draft, put the writing on the wall.
improving????
same 2016 Dak?????
First trow(Skins game) missed a wide open Beasley....fumble....:omg::facepalm:

As I look at this route what I see is Gallup coming open but Dak not having the ability to step up and make this throw because of pressure up the middle but he certainly could have dumped the throw

Now Dak makes that throw and can’t put anything on it then you guys are complaining about how inaccurate he is

I agree Dak needs to improve no arguments there but so does the line and wr group and coaching staff

And how many passes were dropped against the Commanders? There were multiple.

This is the WHOLE season. Look at the middle of the field and his avoidance of it, besides all his checkdowns. He’s leaving huge chunks of yardage by not even throwing there. It’s ridiculous and this is with defenses playing single safety back there.

3 of his interceptions have come over the middle. Just a twilight zone for Dak

What we are seeing now is the things we should have seen his rookie year. This whole thing seems to have went backwards. He was fine until he got knocked around for 2 or 3 games straight. Now the panic in the pocket and inaccurate throws are happening. But he is getting better. Just needs to protect the football. Not the first time he has fumbled. But that last play can not happen. He had Elliot standing there and had no reason not to get it to him. He has to realize around your own goal line it’s best to live to play another series. I think it was 3rd and long so he was looking for the big play that was wide open. Could have went to Gallup.

I'm not saying Dak is playing great or even good at times. He has issues that need to be worked out. It would great for him to have a real QB coach (Romo?), but he doesn't. Dak needs work and needs to build confidence. Other then Beasley or Zeke, he really doesn't have many options to throw to. The WR and TE are average at best. The Oline has played really poorly. Seems like Dak has players in his face on most plays. Really hard to develop good mechanics when you're getting pressure often. In his rookie year, the Oline played great and he produced. Since then, the OLine play has been poor and his production has dropped. Add to this losing Dez and Witten.

Dak needs to improve. I'm almost ready to say he's a lost cause, but I would love to evaluate him with a good OLine and WR/TE play. Maybe adding Cooper changes things.

If he hits Elliot then there was one man to beat and the defender wasn’t in good position. Wondering if that wasn’t the design and Dak looked deeper.

Cooper isn't much of a threat if you watch the Raiders. Not the Alpha Dog some might think

Wrong.

Look at games this season where he gets 10+ targets. 100+ yards EACH time. He's 48th, something like that, in targets. Outside of those 2 10+ target games, he's gotten 2,3 targets a game. That's being generous at that

I’ll look again when I get to office as I can’t see it on my phone perhaps there was an opportunity to hit Elliott but on my phone I can’t see but it’s clear he can’t hit Gallup because of pressure.

My eyes are a bit on older side lol

Yeah I am looking in my phone. Elliot released and was in a good spot to get it and go. Would have liked out ran the defender. There was another down field, maybe not a first down but better than what happened.

Prescott's passer rating under pressure ranks 6th in the league. From a clean pocket, it ranks 21st.

Since it's normal to have a clean pocket about twice as often as not, that's not good. It's also not much of an improvement. From a clean pocket, he was 3rd in 2016, 10th in the first half of 2017, and 26th in the second half of 2017.

Passer Rating when Pressured

(min 70 pressured dropbacks)
1 Rivers 118.5
2 Wentz 91.1
3 Cousins 89.9
4 Ryan 83.6
5 Brady 82.9
6 Prescott 79.1

Passer Rating from Clean Pocket
(min 140 clean dropbacks)
1 Mahomes 131.5
2 Brees 126.7
3 Ryan 125.6
4 Goff 122.0
5 Rivers 117.4

21 Prescott 91.4

That’s the clear illegal contact on Norman 10ft from the ref that Broaddus was talking about. Refs never call those game changing penalties in crunch time though. They like to let the players decide the game.

We all can see the play.. you are delusional

A guy came untouched after Dak held onto the ball while watching Gallup in single coverage with absolutely no help over the top and inside leverage
for close to at least three seconds and a home finally opened up wide enough for a defensive player to come through like five seconds later..
It's bad when the tape shows Gallup wasn't open until after Dak had a defender screaming. The hate for Dak is unreal that folks can't even decipher the tape.
