Dak's best season yet; given the circumstances.

What the Dak haters like to ignore is that his ups and downs are part of the normal progression of a young QB, especially one picked in the fourth round. The mistakes he makes are ones all QB's make from time to time.

Prescott needed this game today because it was basically all on him. The line was down three starters once Su'a-Filo went out and there was no Zeke and no running game. It was up to Dak to deliver and he did.

Awesome confidence booster heading into the playoffs. 3-5 to 10-6 is miraculous, and Dak was a huge, huge part of this turnaround.
7-1 the last half of the season is pretty darn good. Better than I thought they would do when they started at 3-5. Great job Cowboys.

decent numbers, but not good considering todays inflation. now his last 8 games during our surge with an actual wr, they are good numbers.

Here are the Stat Numbers I like: 10 wins. NFC East champs, 4th seed in NFC. Those are the stats that matter. Hopefully, by the end of January, there will be more impressive stats....like playoff wins.
And those are not QB stats, and thus meaningless to this discussion.

But It's the thing Dak seems most consistent at.
There have been a lot of missed deep passes this season.

Dak Prescott certainly seemed to throw several of them on too hard of a line when he needed to use more arc. Sometimes Dak couldn't step up and made a poor throw due to defensive pressure In some cases, the receiver did a poor job on the route. Michael Gallup was noted for getting poor releases and sometimes looking back for the ball too quickly.

Part of it might also be how was getting thrown to.

Gallup is a rookie, Allen Hurns is new, Tavon Austin is new, Amari Cooper came in mid-season, Blake Jarwin and Dalton Schultz are new.

Terrance Williams barely played.

Cole Beasley, Ezekiel Elliott and Geoff Swaim (9 career rec entering season) were the only offensive players with experience playing with Dak.

New receivers, OL playing with a rookie LG all struggling in Paul Alexander's scheme.

Growing pains.

If we can score 24 points against Seattle I'll live with Dak even if we lose unless Its Dak's turnovers that cost us the game.

This is so predictable.
Cowboys win - Dak supporters emerge from their corners to tout him as a great quarterback.
Cowboys lose - Dak critics emerge from their corners to tout how bad he is.
The cycle continues.
Why can't we have more people that just keep it real and say this guy is avg. He isn't great and he isn't the worst he is just Alex Smith Jr lol.

Just goes to show how a run first conservative offense vs a pass first aggressive offense can completely change the QB stats and play. Scheme and coaching matters.

Exactly.

Dak has his flaws..... no doubt about it.

But this disproves the people clamoring about 200 yards passing. When some games, the gameplan doesn’t ask Dak to throw for 200 yards, in order for the TEAM to win.

In terms of talent as a passer, I agree Dak is average. He needs to do better these next 4 games. A lot depends on it.

He's above average in many ways that someone like Alex Smith wasn't. Dak has all the intangibles and Smith was a decent runner but I think Dak is better on the move, our play caller just won't use it enough. Something about Dak, man. People play for him and he doesn't quit and it's infectious.

Saw some great progression from dak, especially in terms of aggression.

With the right OC, I think Dak is poised for a really big year next year

I was pleased to see the down-the-seams throws to the tight end. Those are throws he just doesn’t attempt very often.

I think he has much room to grow as a QB. When looking at his numbers in year 3 vs other QB and how they faired in their 1st 3 season Dak holds his own. Hopefully he will continue to work and develop as a QB. I do know a lesser QB whose OL was missing for the most part and the league leading rusher was sitting would not likely put up 387 with 4 TD passes including 2 drives after trailing late in the game.

Ok but you aren't one of the ones who say he's "average" lol.
That's a mother expletive lie. I always say he's avg so no need to lie to gain props with the Dak groupie crew. Anybody can search my post where I've always said he was Alex Smith jr.
