He's an OL, those guys aren't the sharpest tool in the shed......Oh, wait! I played OL!!!!! Oops!
That explains some things. It was back when people like Deacon Jones could use the head slap, wasn’t it?

Jerry is absolutely brilliant. He's taken what would have been considered a ridiculous joke a week ago and through a multi-pronged PR blitz has the fanbase convinced its a move that makes perfect sense.

In one week Moore has gone from the failed QB coach that needs to be canned immediately to the in-house wizard that's the logical OC of the future.

Truly amazing.

For what it's worth, an ex-scout for Andy Reid now has a biweekly football podcast I find interesting and informative.

He raved about Kellen Moores intellect, the fact that he comes from a football family and his knowledge of the game. He predicted Moore will be the Cowboys next HC.

And this guy does not like Jason Garrett at all. He thinks Garrett is a below average coach that is holding this team back.

I admit this thought crossed my mind, but it took a lot of people that weren’t even connected to the Cowboys to help paint the picture. Jerry couldn’t coordinate what every person ever connected to Moore would say, nor could he change what people have said about Moore in the past.

lol It’s the twilightszone I swear. If he becomes the OC here it means we are going to have a terrible 2019 and Moore will be Jason/ Jerry’s scape goat for the bad season. Then more JG and his failed schemes and coaching.

It's good that he respects him. I was hoping to hear more about bringing his college scheme here instead of adapting to our (The Garrett) scheme

I think the scheme gets a bad wrap because we have seen it put points on the board. I see the biggest problem is and always have been, the flow of the play calling. And yes a few more plays out of the same sets so defenses can not get a good read on the play.

LOL...…….Se he is OC ready because he created ONE play? We need an entire new scheme.

I don't think its anything personal against Moore. Its just that Moore means MORE Garrett. Its NOT like they are going to hand over the play calling duties and scheme change duties to Moore off the bat. This will be another 3 year process. Bring in a REAL OC and let the kid learn from ANOTHER good mind. In 3 or 4 years promote him. Simple simple stuff.
Don’t be a Hater all the time, go with the flow on this one. Ty...

People are definitely entitled to their opinions against Moore as OC, but T Fred’s ringing endorsement means the most to me of anything that’s been said or written.

Interestingly, T Fred said that Moore created a play that resulted in “multiple touchdowns” over past couple of seasons.

Honestly, we can hire Belichick as OC and there is guaranteed to be a thread titled “ Here’s why I don’t like the Belichick hire” on here.

I want a qb and u want a coach. Seeing that we will get neither u might as well just start accepting it. Thx...

Do you NOT want a new coach?

And I would take Mahones all day long, but that isn't even close to reality. The next Mahones wont come along for another 20 years.

Ive already accepted that Garrett isn't going anywhere. A real OC, however is not out of the realm of possibility.

Garrett can be replaced in one day with someone much better. Dak cannot.

I do not think an outside OC of real quality comes here because of the uncertainty with JG. Just roll the dice with Moore. If it doesn't work out, the team can move on from JG and hopefully, Richard becomes the coach...and Moore is young and hopefully not as stubborn as JG.

I've said give Moore a chance, the league is looking for different innovative minds.

He went pretty deep into the discussion about Moore for it to be merely company line rhetoric. I suspect he meant what he said.
Fredbeard is a smart cookie. I doubt he would go out on a limb without conviction. In the end, let's see how it plays out. That, and the players got to make it happen.
