Just check out this film. Tune out them Cowboys homer hosts talking...making all kinds of excuses. Better yet, listen to them struggling to even believe their own words. Unbelievable.

Just watch some tape and see how bad of a pick and reach it was for the Cowboys to draft DT Trysten Hill, 6'3", 308 lbs. with that 2nd round #58 overall pick.... all while both Safeties Juan Thornhill and Nasir Adderley were still there waiting to be picked. Crazy.

Would have been better to pick up one of them Safeties in the 2nd round, then either use their 3rd or one of their two 4th round picks on a DT, which there are still plenty of to pick from.

This is clearly a Marinelli move. Another Taco persuasion by Marinelli in that Cowboys Draft Room. Another several rounds "over reach" for a player that should have been taken several rounds later just like Taco.

If this Trysten Hill DT doesn't show up this first year and proves he was worth "over reaching" for in the 2nd round, Marinelli needs to go!

I can give a player more than 1 year but i totally agree with you about the safeties and firing Rod.

Marinelli did good and I'm tired of the cry baby fans throwing a fit every time your pet cat doesn't get picked. We needed a 3 tech and Hill is a very good one. Our next pick will probably be a safety so you cry babies get ready for it.

Did you actually watch the tape? Looks pretty good :muttley:
Yeah yeah yeah. He's being facetious. He looked good in a highlight clip against low level competition in a crappy conference. His stats : 2016 - 15 tackles, 5 tfl, 1 sack. 2017 - 20 tackles, 4.5 tfl and 2 sacks. 2018- 36 tackles, 10.5 tfl and 3 sacks. Wow!!!! Nick Hayden put up those kind of numbers. No wonder senile Rod likes him so much.

Go give Marinelli and his overreach "taco" picks a good hug.

I think he reminds me of someone else on our roster... Dak Prescott. There is some bad tape early in their careers, but their potential is what got them drafted.

I have faith in this pick, but of course I know I know I'm in the minority.

What a horrible comparison. Dak almost won a Heisman. These two back-to-back Marinelli "taco" picks are simply many rounds too early over reaches. At least Dak was correctly picked late in the 4th round, while proving his worth the past 3 years.

Day one starter safeties left on the board with pro bowl potential. Playing in place of our worst starter in the horrid heath.

This hill will play little in 2019 and we can only hope he gets some upper body strength and comes on in his second year when he will really be needed.
