They carried 3 QBs last season.

They carried 4 TEs until Swaim went on IR around mid-season.

They carried 9 OL for parts of the season.

Other positions where the head count varied over the season (At least 1 week for each of the following):
10 DBs
4 RBs (3 RB plus FB)
7 WRs
11 DL
And white is still no where ready to play based on last preseason. They knew he was a 2 year minimum project when they invested a a pick on him. They'll keep 3 again. At minimum they're keeping 9 oline. Even if the keep 6 wrs, why keep one that that can't play the position, stay on the field, run routes or catch. Others can run back punts. But yeah, a 4th te would be a good position to trade him for!

And sometimes the better team wins. As in the Seahawks game. As in the 2 Eagles contests. As in the Rams game where we took the L.

Dallas outplayed Seattle, the Rams outplayed us. No luck involved in either contest.
It wasn’t luck it was coaching. The Rams our coached us on both sides of the ball. Seattle didn’t take advantage of there best player, Russel Wilson. If Seattle would have threw the ball early and often we would have had a much tougher time stopping them.

8) Gallup and Cooper could be dynamite duo rap if we mix it up (that word innovation again) with some Austin/Pollard stuff and let Dak fling it a bit downfield.
9) our offense should put up 28+ pts per game next year or something is wrong scheme wise....with fbeard and Austin back, Gallup and Cooper in their second year here...we should be ripping off yards constantly.

Forgot Cobb.

Yes.

Rams outcoached us.

They killed our 4-2-5 defense.

They had to be stunned at the lack of halftime adjustments.

A few observations...
1) Russell Wilson is good, always liked him even back to college but him being the highest paid QB in the league is laughable. Just silliness
2) we have way more talent than what shows up on game day, massive underachievers. There shouldn’t be anyone we play that should scare us talent wise
3) our defense has quite a few good to very good players but we still get zero turnovers, our pass rush was also barely existent
4) Noah Brown is useless but that was a massive PI no call that almost turned the game
5) Tavon is exactly what I’ve always wanted in a kick returner and gadget guy, minus the injuries, hope we use him next year. Two huge returns although one was called back, he’s a weapon.
6) Dak doesn’t see the whole field really well. I think we can win with him but I hope Kellen has some innovation for our offense, we never surprise anyone
7) Zeke is one the best players in football, but I swear we only have like 8 different plays
8) Gallup and Cooper could be dynamite duo rap if we mix it up (that word innovation again) with some Austin/Pollard stuff and let Dak fling it a bit downfield.

10) for what we paid, we better see more from Tank than what we did at the end of last season, I know he was injured, but we need more pressure

I agree. Lots of chest beating over this win but the reality was that they almost blew it against a rebuilding Seahawks team. Carrol is one of the better coaches in the league and always seems to get the best out of a team while our coach does not, ever.

Watch game 16.

I think they gave Kellen Moore a trial run as OC in that game.

You'll only notice the differences if you really studied some of the other games because many of the changes were subtle but that game definitely had a different "feel" to the offense.

Is that the first time you have ever watched Wilson? Because that is probably the worst game I have seen from in a while. The guy is incredible.

THAT being said it appears that some of you guys still dont understand the nature of NEW contracts and how they work.

Most of this is an indictment on our coaching staff.

Our coaching staff hinders this team so much it isn't even funny.

Agree, I just get tired of posting the same lines all the time...lol

Me too but it's the honest truth. Coaching matters. So many disregard coaching on the pro level because they think professional athletes don't need much coaching but they do. Everyone can improve at many aspects. It's also about scheming and playcalling. The biggest example of coaching mattering is the Rams situation. Jeff Fisher vs McVey. Chip Kelly vs Pederson.

really not, bad memory..i get tired of hearing this check out the box score..we got destroyed in the 2nd quarter we won the other 3 qurters..stats dont lie..we got dismantled and couldn't recover but all this talk about this game we lost by 8 on the road against better team with a weeks rest and week more to watch and study the seatle game.. we made mistakes yes we got outcoached but not due to 2nd half adjustments, we won the 2nd half 15-10 first qtr 7-3 ..2nd quarter just punched in the face with no answer and could not catch back up, some of it on SL comfy with close game and didnt open it up when Zeke was slowed and keyed on.. I know final score want the full story but iots not like we lost 40-3 .. yes a gut punch for sure but again lost by 8 on the road against better team..period..they got one on us..it stings still its why SL was let go but JG most likely gone which would have spelled death for Marinelli.. they wont get that chance this year start slow bye bye JG in season

Doesn't matter the game was close at the end. We were in that game in the first quarter then were never in the game again. I haven't seen a defense get dominated like that in a long time. Then watch the pats hold them to 3 points made me realize this defense isn't that good.

Our defensives coaches got out coached period vs the Rams!! We had a top 5 run defense all season. The week before we completely controlled Seattle’s running game, the #1 running team in the league. Our defensive coaches failed to adjust during the Ram’s game and supposedly our D lineman were giving away what they were going to do pre snap.

Also, all season our defense had performed better than the Patriots. We had more talent on defense than the Pats, but guess what they have Belicheat. Belicheat had an excellent game plan vs the Rams we had a piss poor game plan.

After watching NE’s D totally control the #2 Offense in football in the Super Bowl, how can you not understand how important coaching is?

Coaching Matters a lot!!!!

I think coaching is the most important thing in the nfl. Something this organization has lacked for a very long time. How marinelli didn't get launched after that debacle is mind blowing.

Also have to realize that in the playoffs the teams are all good and more evenly matched. So the pressure sometimes will drop off but that’s also why they get the big bucks. I want more pressure this year from the middle..

Your right about one thing....that's why coaching is so important. And in the Rams game...we were so overly out matched. Marinellie shouldn't have been let back in the building after that debacle of a game plan.

48 rushes 273 yards 3 TDs

Thats not a half time adjusment.

Its Marinelli being stubborn.

im talking as team we won the second half, its in hard print..we won the 1st 3rd and 4th quarter..issue is we got our butt kicked for 17 points in the 2nd qtr and thats where most of those runs came in..yes Richard is to blame the whole coaching staff , I mean what coach sits on his hands anywhere on the sideline and not come over and say W T F are we going to do something here, even if I was the Oline coach id be over in Marinellis ear trying to help..they all dropped the ball..but lets not get this twisted Krichard is equally to blame..
