that's some pretty funny stuff right thereHe's not going to come out and say it but dad has grounded him and taken away his keys. He's putting a better spin on this than any pass he ever threw in the NFL.
Dude... your sig.Garrett's days are numbered. But I see Jerry moving JG into the front office, not firing him.
I think we’re seeing a reaction to all of the fan hoopla over thinking Moore is going to be the saving grace for this offense overall and specifically our QB.Yeah, it’s really weird to suddenly hear Jason Garrett talk about a collaborative approach to building the team all of a sudden. Out of nowhere. For the very first time, ever. Shocking, even.
They’re all products of a dysfunctional organization and process.Right...and Garrett is making himself look smaller and weaker rather than strong by minimizing Moore’s work to improve the offense.
To be fair however, I guess we should all be reminded that this owner/GM has historically emasculated his HC’s ability to be a real leader who makes key decisions.

wow if you think JG promoted Kellen, I dont know what to sayI think you’re right. Pretend we didn’t all lose our collective minds when they made him position coach in the first place and then pretend the head coach is threatened by him once he promotes him to offensive coordinator. Makes perfect sense in the mind of a “realistic” fan.

He did ice his own kicker! You could argue that the first kick could have missed and the second kick could have gone through, but it's still a wrong decision. It's like hitting 15 in blackjack when the dealer is showing a 6. Sure the dealer could make a hand and you get a 5 or 6, but everyone at the table knows you played it wrong and they are going to be pissed that you took a card even if you won, because it is the wrong play. Some of you guys like to reach and make nothing into something. This is non sense and a complete waste of time to even discuss. So the 1st time ever OC of the DC is getting help and not doing it all on his own, wow, what a shock. A team that has talked about "collaborative" team building and coaching for, I don't know, the last 8 years is working collaborative again, wow, what a shock. I get that some of you really hate the HC, but come on, this is even more stupid than "he froze his own kicker" which I thought was a dumb as it could get it, but alas, I was wrong.
It's Garrett's way of issuing a challenge to himself to not give too much control the KM nor do too much himself. He wants this to be a collaborative effort. But that better not be how Jerry sees it if this thing doesn't work out... this is Garrett's offence, so his head is the first to role. I'd let the new coach make the call to let the rest of the coaching staff go or keep some.In a very interesting article yesterday by Kevin Sherrington, (of that Dallas newspaper we cannot mention) Jason Garrett is going out of his way this week to ensure that Kellen Moore is NOT perceived as getting too much credit for the “new” offense or that Moore is in total control of the Cowboys offense in 2019.
According to Sherrington, Garrett has more than once this week been careful to say publicly he is (quoting Sherrington) “less interested in a Sean McVay starter kit than in implying the new guy hasn't reinvented anything.”
In his press conference Thursday, when describing the changes being made to the offense this year, Garrett on 3 occasions said, “this work is collaborative.” Some other interesting Garrett quotes from that press conference : "He's (Moore) been with us a few years and he has a good feel for how we want to do things"; "He's not doing it by himself"; and "he’s Injecting some new ideas and finding some old ideas” ... “making it collaborative” ... “to go with what this offense is going to be all about,” and “We’re not recreating our base offense”.
Does this sound like a guy who has turned the keys to the offense over to Kellen Moore?
Whatever Garrett thinks about “his offense”, it was crystal clear last year that something new was needed. Even with the much needed improvement at mid-season from the Amari Cooper trade, the Cowboys finished 22nd in scoring last year. That was the lowest of any other team that made the playoffs. Since 2016, when the Cowboys offense bludgeoned its opponents, the offense has been the most predictable and easy to prepare for in the NFL (Just ask the rams) It’s pretty obvious changes are needed.
So this raises some key questions:
1. Is this Garrett’s message to Kellen Moore or to fans and the media?
2. Why is Garrett so intent on saying publicly that this is still “his offense”?
3. Is Garrett feeling threatened by the presence of Kellen Moore and if so, why?
So far this offseason, the biggest question going into the 2019 season seems to be centered on how much change and new ideas Garrett will allow young Kellen Moore to inject. And...is Garrett feeling threatened?
Hey Joe it is "Offense" and there is no telling how jerry sees it , he isnt exactly a normal person. And I will believe a new HC when it is announced officially,It's Garrett's way of issuing a challenge to himself to not give too much control the KM nor do too much himself. A typo on the "offence"... please forgive me. There is nothing wrong with wanting Jerry to hold Garrett accountable if this season is not very successful. To your question, it's fair to wonder how Garrett gets a pass when Linehan was fired. It was Garrett's offense then too, wasn't it? And yet he is still here. I think it has to do with the FO not wanting to start all over. JG represents continuity. However you feel about that, good, bad, or indifferent, the Cowboys would not be the aspirational contenders they are right now, with a new hire at HC. I know many of you will respond to that with, "It depends on the new hire at HC". My response is "No it doesn't. You are lying to yourself if you think a NFL HC can win a SB in his first year in that position. Who has ever done that? It takes at least a season to develop rapport with the players.Hey Joe it is "Offense" and there is no telling how jerry sees it , he isnt exactly a normal person. not before.I think jones boys are keeping their options open, but more than likely they will keep JG.
My Question is where was the "collaborative effort" to fix the offense the last 5 years?
How come it only happens when Kellen is named OC??
Also if they run play 130b out of one formation before , but now it can be run from 5 different formations, then that is essentially a new play.
And I think Kellen is going to design them.
JG mentioned past plays, so since kellen is using his plays as a base, JG wants credit for it.
I bet Linehan is glad to be out of the circus lol and I think JG held him back from actually being creative.

The circus never ceases to amuse us !
your right, too much info has come out and now JG running his mouth about it, worried about him not getting credit, or moore getting too much credit.
So much has been said, now teams know it is same plays that are being disguised by motions and formations.
It will be easier to figure out now.
JG's ego is as big as Jerrys lol and he wants credit more than he wants to win, just like Jerry!
It is an issue for me, as I want them to not go past div round, as long as JG is HC, but I also want kellen to look good,
so maybe he can replace JG.
But then I remember Jerry saying he wanted to win JG a SB, and if he did JG would be here forever!
So keep that in mind, if they did win a SB JG will then be HC for the next 20 to 30 years.
the funny thing was JG saying he didnt need a Sean McVay starter kit, meaning he does not think much of Sean or his offense ! lol
Dont need that when you have the great Jason Garret powerhouse offense ! You know the one defenses say they know exactly what we are doing!
