I hope he does... and Jerry goes into the season with Dak saying he’s not giving a hometown discount and we get to watch Dak play, like he did Atlanta 2017 onwards when the Zeke suspension came into effect..

You're going to have to get Tyron to hold out if you want to see that.

Smith started 13 games, like he has done the two other times in the last three years, including without Zeke, who served a six game suspension in the year I’m referring too.. the math is pretty clear..

He is being underpaid.

I warned everyone about this.

Pay Zeke.
any rookie deal that has a player that plays at a pro bowl deal is "Underpaid." BUT, that is exacty what the PLAYERS wanted to happen back when rookie deals were put in place after that Rookie waste of a QB out of LSU signed that huge deal. So Zeke can just be pissed at the NFLPA that did this deal.

Until it gets changed, if iM the cowboys I tell zeke to suck and egg. Holdout all you want.... and you get fined a full game check for every preseason game you miss. Cowboys hold all the cards, and my guess is Zeke doesnt gain much in the form of fans sympathy. He has been a headache too many times to be another headache headintg into what could essentially be a perfect off season heading into camp. Go ahead Zeke, ruin that.

He’s making 3.8 mil this season.

He’s an elite RB with two rushing titles.

His market value is at least 10-15 mil per year.
On the free market.... yep. Unfortunately for Zeke, hes not on the free market. Zeke is like my rental house. I paid 138k for it in 1998. Today it is worth 380k or more. Timing is everything, and Zeke.... your timing isnt good.

And BTW, talks have been open and communication happening between the Zeke camp and the FO, Per reports and Dallas is interested in negotiating an extension, probably trying to get a discount before they even hand a chance at hitting the market. In fact Stephen Jones has indicated the policy as such regarding their players, meaning just because he’s on a rookie contract, didn’t mean he needs to shut-up and play while the FO basically said it’s per their policy anyways.

There’s four other tweets before this but I’m not going to post them all. You should be able to see them by click on this tweet.

He is seeing Dak cash in before his rookie deal is done, so he wants to get paid his worth also. Why don’t Elliot get some endorsement deals to supplement his income. You would think he could get a soup commercial lol. Feed me.

Dak is being underpaid should they pay him right now too?

The CBA negotiated these rookie deals because the old rookie contracts were giving guys crazy money. The players in the league who deserved the money thought rookies should have to wait which sounds right to me.

Correlation does not equal causation.

There surely is more evidence, a three game difference, that Dak was sucking without Zeke, than your claim it was Smith. Of course this doesn’t mean Dak shows multiple flashes of sucking as well with decent blocking as well, even when guys like Smith plays adequately even when banged up.

Dak is on the last year of his deal and Zeke is not. Teams normally try to negotiate when a player is going into the last year of their deal.

They all agree until a exception comes along. I don’t see them changing the rules for Elliot in the next CBA. If he holds out this year and Pollard comes on and lights it up I will laugh really hard. Let him sit and what about his 5th year option. I guess we could trade him in his 5 year..

The Cowboys FO is now trying to play cheap and is using excuses for not going after big FAs. The Amati Cooper deal was basically panic and a move by necessity, because Dak looked like a major cluster and the whole world was saying these guys were idiots for releasing Dez, and they should bring him back.

https://cowboyswire.usatoday.com/20...gency-inactivity-philosophy-future-contracts/
The whole world was saying why did it take them so long to release Dez the cancer who are you kidding. They’re saving their money to sign all the good players they have coming up for new contracts.

That’s because of the 5th year option right. They were drafted the same time.

I knew he was gonna throw a fit. Just wondered if it was this year or next.

Even Melvin Gordon pointed out the obvious with respect to the Cowboys:

I mean, you [saw] what happened when [Ezekiel Elliott] was out," Gordon told me. "It was a completely different team. You can replace average backs, yes — just plug them in — but you can't just replace a great back. People think you can do that, and you just can't. There's a difference [between the two types of RB]. We do so much, and people try to devalue us.
