Kap threw for a total of 4 yards thru three quarters the game he was benched for Blaine gabbert. He sucks. If he was a good player that could help a team win he would be on a roster. Teams really dont care what kind of person you are if you are a stud on the field.

Kap may be better than a lot of scrub QBs out there, but the bottom line is he is simply not good enough to warrant signing. Plus, he wants way more money than anyone wants to pay a backup. You can deal with distractions to a certain extent, but what's the point if the player in no way will help you win games.
This has been argued on both sides and beaten to a pulp, and crosses dangerously into violation of the rules typically. Best to let this one go, ok?

I respectfully disagree. Cooper Rush and previously Kellen Moore are/were two of the worst backup QBs in recent NFL history. Kap lead 49ers to a Super Bowl and an 2nd nfc championship game.

Michael Gallup's arrow is definitely pointing up and so is Gifford's!

More good news is that Gifford's injury last night was just an ankle sprain.

Serious arrows up down...

Up - Taco, Armstrong, Gifford, Jarwin

Down - Garrett, Moore, White, Hill, Covington, Frazier

Mike White looked terrible. OL did not help but he was awful. I saw zero sizzle from Moore. Maybe by design but it was the same garbage playbook and tempo. Frazier isn’t going to make the cuts playing like that. Hill looked liked a project, not the terror we were told he is. On a good note Taco played well. He needed to.

Mike White showed bad QB traits that cannot be fixed or coached out of a guy. CUT HIM and lets see who else we can take a look at.

When Gifford learns how to take care of his body, he will push Sean Lee out the door and be starting..THIS YEAR. Gifford, Smith LVE will be the best LB core in football for the next 10 years. That's bold..

Moore May very well end up a failure like the rest of this staff but it’s preseason did you want him to empty the playbook ?

The protection did not help but his reads are slow. Real slow. He also stares down receivers. Arm strength was supposed to be his thing. Didn’t see that at all. Bad head clock. Feet are terrible as well. Guy can’t play in the NFL.

Read my note. I said by it could be by design. Tempo though was still terrible. Not a single adjustment from my eyes. It was the Garrett, Linehan offense for the most part.

I’ll be more concerned if it was week 1 but your point is valid

Not good news if it was a high ankle sprain. Those can be worse than a break.

But Cooper rush and Kellen Moore were getting paid chump change. The bottom line is you can't pay two quarterbacks starter money. Nobody expects Cooper rush to win a game if necessary in the regular season. The cowboys don't value the backup QB position at all, certainly not enough to spend and kind of money on it.

I would never say Kellen Moore or Cooper rush are better than Kap. They both suck/ sucked. But they are/ were paid next to nothing and that's the only reason they are/were on this team.

Ouch, you're right. The only thing I heard after he got hurt was it's an ankle sprain.

High ankle sprains are hard to deal with, no doubt. He'll be out for a while for sure.

I'm recalling another player that got one and it was at least 6 weeks for him to heal.

You can great players but if the staff doesn't know how to use them they'll become average players.

So that's a down arrow from me, because of the coaches.
I don't know how you can evaluate any of that in game 1 of preseason. I mainly just watch the game to get a visual reference on the rooks, so that they are identifiable going forward.
I will pay a little more attention in game 3 of preseason, its the most unmeaningless game of the preseason,, if that's even a word.

Its a great way to stash potential.
