Lol..you're so whack, what the hell do you think all qbs do with an OC playbook. They get the play look over the defense and make adjustments. ...lol are you f ing kidding me...lol

Romo changed many of the plays entirely and the sole reason why our offense was top ranked for many years.

You're naive to think that Garrett gave the playbook to Romo and he followed it verbatim. Romo butchered that playbook and basically ran his on style offense.

Garrett all he did was call plays - which the majority of the time didn't work. If it did why did Romo change is so many times? Haven't you thought about that?

Lol..youre so dumb right now, now he was suppose to outscore the opponent with no help from the defense...lol how many teams win games like that.....sheesh what a fool

Last I know football is a team sport. Garrett was part of the 1 and 7 debacle in 2010. If you keep ignoring that your the only dumb one around here.

Cool story! So is football still a team sport in 2019? Is Garrett part of reason for the dominating win yesterday? Is he part of the reason they have won the division 2 of the last 3 seasons?

When Garrett took over in 2010 as the head coach he inherited a listless 1-7 team lacking talent. He followed that with 3 8-8 seasons with teams again lacking in talent and unable to do much about it because of salary cap issues. Everyone seems to blame him for the lack of a Super Bowl but in fact he’s the one who turned this organization around. Jones put a lot of faith in Garrett because of his pedigree and intelligence. He had a plan and a vision on how to build a football team. .

I think Garrett has antiquated scheming philosophies and was overmatched as a play-caller.

I also think in his earliest days as head coach, he lacked a basic feel from the sideline with regards to challenge situations, managing timeouts, etc.

He’s come a long way. I still don’t see him as a real asset in terms of situational game-day strategy or adjustments, but I do think he has been strong in building a winning culture in the locker room that can tune out distractions and live in the moment.

I’ve softened in my desire to see him fired. I’ve wanted him canned following at least five seasons. But I do think it’s important to remember the situation he’s coaching in, where the owner/general manager and his son are on the radio and TV multiple times every week.

People hate garrett garre we havent won a SB yet. Nothing will change it.

Garrett oversaw a top 10 offense led by undrafted romo. This includes time we had to rebuild the defense in garretts early HC years as we moved back to a 4-3. His yerrible offense and outdated plays helped shape a 4th round guys future and made him into a starter whos about to make 30+ million a year.

Little sarcasm in there but under garrett overall weve had alot of success offensively and better overall roster. His philosophy in team building has helped will mcclay shape this team to what it is now. All this with a dysfunctional ownership group that forced him to find an OC, makes personel decisions based off hype and not sound scouting.

He had a plan and a vision on how to build a football team. He first focused on getting the right kind of players. I promise you he wanted nothing to do with Greg Hardy. Secondly he focused on building the team from the trenches out which is something you can’t do in one year with the salary cap issues he inherited. He stuck to his guns and build a solid team improving it every year. There were some bumps along the way with time management but you haven’t seen those in recent years. You can nick pick a time here or there but they can be argued both ways. He still needs to prove it in the playoffs but its obvious he’s put together a young team, built from the trenches out and wins. Let’s see what happens this year.
I'll say this much about Jason Garrett: These 53 guys won't quit on him. That says something for a Head Coach. He isn't a bad head coach but he isn't an elite coach either. If I had to rank him, he'd be anywhere from 12-16. My biggest issue with Jason is how flat and unprepared they can look at times. Still can't get over the 21-3 start against Green Bay three years ago. That was when I lost a lot of trust with Jason. No excuse to come out that flat. We will see. A nice postseason run this year makes up for it.

I give him credit for not doing much. As you can see from all over the news Moore is the talk of the town with his innovative playcalling.

That less that Garrett does, the more effective this team is.

Why is he coaching this year without a contract extension? If he’s responsible for this roster, then shouldn’t he have been given a long extension before the year started?

How anyone can still defend Garrett after all these years is so mind numbing it's beyond me. Garrett is an offensive minded HC whose team doesn't run his offense. Think about that and tell me another team where this happens. Anyone watching last night knows the biggest influence on this offense is Kellen Moore. Give credit where it's due.

Garrett might be the only coach in the NFL whose team doesn't run his offensive/defensive philosophy. The Pats play BB's defensive scheme. Would BB hire another DC to run a 4 -3 scheme or some other D? Think about that for a second. The Eagles run Pederson's scheme. The Chiefs run Reid's offensive scheme. The Raiders run Gruden's scheme. The 49ers run Shanahan's scheme. The Rams run McVay's scheme. We ran Phillips' scheme when he was here. We ran Gaily's offense when he was here. We can go on and on.......

Less Garrett is more on this team. Garrett's only job is to keep the Jones Clan comfortable, giggle with Charlotte and keep her occupied during the draft. And he does those things damn well but he's not a football coach. He's a survivor that's made himself a multi-millionaire being the ultimate yes man.

Since 2010 , Garrett has been stripped of duties each and every year .

& the cowboys have gotten better and better , ... Letting Garrett walk will make this team 10 times better ,.

He inherited a prime Romo, Ware, Witten, Dez, and Lee....people who say say he had no talent dont know what the hell they are talking about. I expect that from you tho. Look at the rosters the Seahawks and Panthers coaches inherited if you wanna see a real rebuild.
He inherited an old overpaid under achieving o-line, had no running game, no d-line, no corners or safeties, and he went 5-3 with a Romoless team (remember Kitna?). 5 good players are NOT going to win a championship. Garretts offenses have been in the top 10 EVERY YEAR HE HAS BEEN HERE. the lack of defense killed this team for years!

I'd just get the popcorn ready and wait...Garrett, Jeff Heath don't ever be positive about either.

This fascinating. Dare I say dumb, since every other post has degraded to name calling.

- There was no icing the kicker. But pee wee football 6 year olds could have managed to not run only 3 plays in 1:06, gain 20 yards and leave a Time Out on the table while spiking the ball and rushing a FG unit out to use the 1st time out.
- almost an exact copy playing Baltimore
- Historic blown leads occurred against the Lions and Packers Matt Flynn.
- there was one season they only scored more than 10 points in the first half in one game
- 3 games in a row without a TD in 2017

There is a loooooooong list.
