Who is our best jump ball possession guy? Jarwin?

No we’re not bringing back Dez he lost his jumping abilities long ago.

We need to draft a better TE...

Probably Gallup right? Maybe try to find a guy in the future who played WR in college and converted to TE like Waller or Ricky Seals-Jones. Could open the offense up more.

It’s Cedrick but he doesn’t see the field. Gallup is probably the next best. Rico would have been perfect in these situations

The entire receiver corp pooped the bed including Coop I was hoping Devin Smith would step up in Gallup's absence, but he was ghost in this one. I hope next week is back to great routes and great catches and I look forward to when we get Gallup back.

He did not play well tonight. He let a very subpar CB stick with him and honestly, Coop beats a guy like that a lot.

The injury he got an MRI for is more than is being let on. It may be negative on tissue damage, but he needs it looked at.

How much was Apple on him? I imagine Lattimore was on Cooper a lot, and I wouldn't say he is subpar. But this is kind of Cooper's game, it always has been, He'll disappear a lot in a season or not come up big. Was his knock in Oakland.

Tight end wasnt the issue.

Never said it was. Although it was part of why we lost.

Fumbles
Dropped passes
Penalties
O-Line got abused Zeke was 18 for 35
1-Tech got abused up the middle all night
Coaching issue

Back on topic, Gallup might be our best jump ball receiver but I’m not convinced that’s his strength either...

We have no jump ball guy...

It looked like they locked Lattimore on most of the time. And he's actually had problems earlier in the year.

But you're right, Cooper had his bad games in Oakland. He had one tonight. It wasn't just drops, it was how he was running.

The scary thing is how bad Cooper looked as long as the guy played close. He wasn't competing for the ball. Cooper is a good possession guy if he gets separation. He couldn't get it tonight.

Besides the fumble, Witten has looked good.

Cobb was a disappointment tonight as a possession guy.

I warned people about Cooper's drops all last year - he led the league in drops 2 out of his 4 seasons in the league. This was always a red flag, and it seems his bad hands pop up the most when things around him aren't going ideal.

I still don't view him as a #1 despite what we gave up for him. Only positive is, you can get by in this league without having a true #1 WR. Bad news is, you usually need a great QB for that.

So Cooper needs a contract. Does Dallas sign him or let him go after trading a 1st round pick for him?

You have to wonder if his injury held him back tonight. To me it looked like Dak was looking at him a lot and staring down his receivers all night. Something he was not doing in the 1st three games. It could be because he didn;t have time to get set tonight. The OL was pretty mediocre all night.

We went a different direction in terms of WR's when we got rid of Dez. We wantes WR's that were more polished route runners and could gain seperation over contested ball WR's. We signed Hurns and drafted Gallup and Wilson for that reason. When none of them were good enough to be a #1, we traded for Cooper. Contested balls arent Coopers strength

We need one jump ball guy, preferably the TE variety...

I wonder how we would be fairing if Coop was hurt and Gallup was playing? I say that because to me, Coop is our number two and Gallup is our number 1. I don't think Coop deserves a big contract. I say we draft a WR early next year, tag Cooper after this year, then let Cooper walk.
