Cue the excuse to keep Garrett around if this team somehow beats the Eagles next week.
Not disappointed enough to do anything about it, though.
Enjoy your bday, Jer.
I believe Jones' personality allows for a certain degree of outside input but only to a certain point. I have observed some opinions stating Jones will finally adhere to his own life clock towards making 'better decisions' but I have not yet seen anything that supports that assumption. This coaching situation will not work. Jerry as someone who has achieved success in life should know that this coaching situation is not going to work after the time he has had to evaluate it all, but i think since Jerry likes Garrett very much and he keeps pushing a dead situation and expects us all to just keep feeling ok about it. It's not ok, Jerry needs someone to make him undertsnad all of this in a very slow and long conversation so that he can feel ok about firing Garrett.
Exactly. Cowboys started the season 3-5 last year. Most didn't give them a chance to make the playoffs or even win the division. They proved everyone wrong. So far, after so many current mistakes and injuries, Cowboys are 3-3. If they beat the Eagles at home next week, then use the bye to get healthy and make adjustments, Cowboys could easily get hot and finish the season strong once again.+1 .....huge disappointment for a lot of fans understandably ( myself included), but the fact is there's still a lot of football left. As stated, we still first place in the division with a chance to take the lead next week. Seen too many teams play two different seasons of football to give up on the season this early. As Parcell would say, who's playing the best ball after T'giving?
Losing to the 0-4 Jets...yeah, disappointed is an understatement.
This is an embarrassment. There are no excuses. There are no logical explanations. The only thing I know is the entire coaching staff needs to go, and Sam Darnold showed what a franchise QB should look like.
That losing streak could happen after the bye.Hope everyone reads this. Jones will back Garrett as long as the team competes and does not fall into a six or seven loss streak. It should be notable the team has only 'brought it' in the second half the last two games and three of six/seven losses are in the bag...
Absolutely, This team has become a Complete FIASCO and only looks to get worse! Why is he just now getting "disappointed"? I'm at rage. Disappointed was 3 weeks ago.
A certain point is all that is needed because reason and rationality always win in time if the person making the decisions has any mental stabilty. His life clock is already over the only one who doesn't know it is him, he can't make better decisions because he doesn't want to just win he wants to win his way and have the ability to say i told you so, for this we all suffer. It's the aftermath to the way Jimmy left town, Jerry wants to win that decades old dispute and he knows the Switzer SB win wasn't enough to jusitfy, hence Garrett still here. We're cheering for a orginaztion that wants approval from the past more then it wants SB wins for winnings sake. In short we're screwed.I believe Jones' personality allows for a certain degree of outside input but only to a certain point. Jones has kept himself installed as the general manager of the franchise under the self-belief that there is no one more qualified than him--despite anything contradictory he has said publicly. That particular human mindset does not bow neither to the passage of time nor to the foreseeable end to it.
Exactly. I do not like making predictions but I would proclaim the Vikings game as Garrett's last if I did. That losing streak could happen after the bye.
Jerry is right and thinking straight right now. No way do you fire a head coach this early in the season when the team is still in 1st place of the division. He does need to give them all an earful though, then encourage them to turn it around while they can.
It sounds like he could be related to .....oh wait, I better not go there.I believe Jones' personality allows for a certain degree of outside input but only to a certain point. I fire Garrett now. Let Richard be the HC and let Moore remain the OC. How can it be any worse? Does 3-3 scream extension?
