Potential HC Replacements

We could hire a clone of Belichek as HC and Jerry would still find a way to screw it up!

Honestly I’d be happy w a lot of people over garrett. Hell I’d take kitna at this point. He prob did better teaching high school kids than garrettt w nfl

I think Mike McCarthy would be a good fit. MANY don't like him..but he has won a SB as a HC and has the credentials. Problem is he would want to bring the west coast offense in. Marvin Lewis is another sneaky choice. Low energy guy tho..not sure he would be much better. The Herman Edwards idea intrigues me some. I saw someone mention him..I WOULDNT HATE THAT. He would def. light a fire under the team.

BEWARE OF LINCOLN RILEY. Is he really gonna garner the respect of NFL players? I have my doubts. It smells like fools gold. I rather go get Herman Edwards or someone like that.

I just want a smart coach. Someone who can adjust to things, put the pieces in place to ensure success, and stay a step ahead of the opponents. Too much to ask?

Brian Kelly would be another good choice. I doubt he would hold back in the coaching room lol.

brian Kelly coaching Martin and smith...hmm...that's a interesting idea.

Probably not, but has to be worth a go. Plus, I sort of want a defencive minded coach to take the helm of HC. Cuz I think we definitely need someone to really crank up this defence.

Besides, think about it. Landry played defence and I think was quite a defencive head coach, yes? Jimmy Johnson was a defencive mind, yes? Bill Parcells seemed to really like defence. When we had those three, we had great defences and great offence to go with it. Pity about Campo, but we at least had the defence bit right. Just had Quincy Carter, Chad Hutchnison, and crew attempting and failing miserably to play QB. Wade Phillips had us with very good defence. Just a pity that Jason Garrett was a saboteur. More on him in a moment. Offencive minds: Switzer and Gailey (being born in 1992, don't know much about either and going on rep that I've read from everyone on the coaches up till Campo). And then there's Jason Garrett. Need I say more? My point is, our team seems to better, for the most part, when we have a defencive minded chap. Sort of the forte of our team. Maybe I'm overreaching a bit, but I think we would very much benefit from a defencive minded chap.

Plus, I think a defencive mind understands the importance of getting the ball quickly and moving us closer. Thus, making our offence tick better. Garrett, on the other hand, has given us spurts of good offence, but has typically neglected defence. In the NFL, you may want to have a good defence. I think someone like Brian Kelly and others would perfectly well to not neglect our offence, but can help us get the defence we need.

I know whenever an OU guys is hyped around here I have to look with extra scrutiny. I've seen too much fanboiism over the years.

Yeah well he ain't coming until after this disaster season is over I seriously doubt he's going to leave Oklahoma in the middle of the season so we will be left here to suffer for another 10 games

When compared to Garrett, any Texas high school coach will do. Yes, Garrett is that useless and that bad.
