You can add 49ers(4) to that list. It's early, but it looks like they may get there before we do again.

The Niners played in the NFCCG two years after the Cowboys last appearance in one. They lost to Green Bay.

No one wants to say it, because we're mostly long time fans, but who are we kidding?

The 21st century Dallas Cowboys have been a joke, and will be until proven otherwise. If we were fans of other teams we'd be laughing at Jerry and Stephen on a daily basis - they're the gifts that keep on giving when it comes to mindless bloviating about their team who wins nothing.

People laughed at old Al Davis, despite his dusty SB trophies, as the Raiders floundered until his death. But is what's going on in Dallas really all that different?

I'm sad to say I don't have much confidence in this franchise as long as Jerry and his kids are running the show. I hope they prove me wrong, but I no longer expect that will happen.

Yay...let's beat the Eagles and see what transpires, I guess.
My sentiments exactly. I always love the Cowboys and want them to win, but with the Jones since 2007, I’ve adopted the statement, “I will believe it when it happens”.

Jerry is a salesman at heart. He usually sells a fictional storyline every year that starts with, “I know what I’m doing here.” When I stopped believing the Jones Cartel’s propaganda a long time ago, my emotional investment went down, and my fun went up. I want the Cowboys to win. When they do, I enjoy it. When they don’t, it doesn’t ruin my weekend or my peace. Other than Will McClay. I don’t believe we have a competent front office. So again...I’ll believe it when it happens.

Bro, just tired of the complaints 24/7 from so many. It's ruining the fun of coming on to this board.

I hear you. Lots to complain about though. What would you expect when they lose to the Jets. The Jets!!!! It’s been 20 plus years of promise and excuses. People are burned out. This season had promise then they lost to the Jets. That is tough to take.

Understand why we lost. No starting O-Tackles, a gift 2and year Left Guard, an injury-hobbled Right Guard, still recovering Center, no starting WRs, dropping passes on key 3red downs, terrible playcalling, horrible special teams execution and a badly called Defense. And still our Cowboys should have won had the officials rightfully called pass interference on the Jets against Witten in the endzone during the 2 point attempt at the end of the game.

Seriously? That game should not have been close. Blaming the refs, injuries, and a couple calls suggests that Dallas should have won a tight one. If Dallas was a serious team they should have blown out the Jets. See last night’s game? That is how a good team handles an overmatched opponent.

Dallas 100 pct was not ready to play. Undercoached again. Fans have a right to be frustrated with how things continue to evolve here.

Of course. You are right on all counts. But it's pathetic to see a bunch of grown men act like whiny spoiled pre-teens on a daily basis.

Unfortunately, you are mostly right. Bill Parcells had a shot but didn't have a QB. By the time Romo came in, Parcells was done. He was our last real coach. I do think Jerry and Stephen have done a decent job drafting and with the salary cap; but the on-field prep is horrible. If you watched the series "Do Your Job" on Belichek and the Pats, their level of planning is amazing---and it was the kind of planning that Gil Brandt used to put into drafting decades ago when he was the first to scout basketball players, track stars, and us metrics to evaluation players. My sense is that if you put Belicheck in Dallas TODAY, we would have a shot at the Super Bowl this year, and would definitely win it next year. The on-field talent is there. On the other hand, if you gave Garrett the Patriots TODAY, they would only eke into the playoffs, and would not win a Super Bowl, and next year would be a losing team.

Both Cooper and Gallup played, they weren't out.

A successful 2 point conversion would have only tied the game, not won it.

if the cowboys had decent coaching no way they lose that jets game losing that game was a very low point in the history of the cowboys there is NO EXCUSE that is exceptable for the cowboys losing that game to the jets that will probably be there only win this season

Exactly and New England has a banged up offensive line and injuries to deal with and they're trending towards the best defense since the 2000 Ravens. And we have fans buying the Jones excuses being bmade. Belly on the other hand is this is the NFL do your job and they slaughter a team we had no business being down by two on.

It happened. Either accept it and move on, or keep complaining and dwelling on it.

A successful 2 point conversion would have only tied the game, not won it.
Cooper played 3 plays, then took himself out due to his lingering injured thigh from the game before. Gallup had his worst game ever by dropping everything hitting his hands, all while playing injured.

No, duh, the 2 point conversion would have only tied the game and sent it into overtime, but the fact remains that the officials refused to call the pass interference committed on Witten in the middle of the endzone during that 2 point attempt. Clear as day. Let's not let the officials off the hook.
