Really?

Did he beat the Patriots, Rams. Vikings, and Bears to do it??
The Bears stinks, the Vikings still have Kirk Cousins. And who cares who he beat he went SEVEN AND ONE. Which you said 'not with this coach', when he's done it twice already.

Did we win the SB last year? Or for the last 20 years for that matter? Alcohol has robbed me of my memory.

once again someone who doesn’t show reading comprehension wants to comment on my post. Were we talking about the SB or was my point about going 7-1? Try to stay on topic friend it’s not that hard

A JG apologist :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Stop being obtuse man

We lost to the Jets with this coach, so im supposed to believe they will go to foxboro, a place where NE has won 16 straight home games, and beat the two GOATS?

We lost to the Jets with this coach, so im supposed to believe they will go to soldier field in December and beat the Bears?

Lets make a bet, if they go 7-1, I will never post here again. If they dont, you rock a Dez avi of my choosing for a year straight...

I’m so sick of our ****** fan base. So last year didn’t happen. I guess I dreamed we were 3-5 and somehow made the playoffs last year BY GOING 7-1 DOWN THE STRETCH and beat Seattle.
You make a good point. We did go 7-1 in the 2nd half of the season last year. We were 4-0 against teams with a losing record and 3-1 against teams with a winning record. The best team we beat was New Orleans who finished the season 13-3.

It's possible to go 7-1 or even 8-0, but I don't think it is very likely. This year they will play 5 teams with a current winning record and 3 teams with a losing record. I'll still stick by my comment/prediction that it is a hard no they go 7-1 down the stretch. I would love for the team to go 7-1 but nothing gives me the confidence they will.

I can understand a person being not confident but for some to act like it’s a snowballs chance in hell is foolish imo because we literally just did it last season. I really really feel like the jets loss is warping ppls view of this team, stuff like that happens sometimes the NFL is fluky sometimes a bottom feeder upsets a playoff team, it happens.

You said we were 3-5 last year and we somehow made the playoffs. That was the point of my post. Read between the lines.

If you're one of those guys that's happy with just making the playoffs, have at it. Some of us have higher expectations.

'Nuff said. Sure, they COULD, but anyone betting the house that this team is going 7-1 down the stretch with the Skins being the only easy win on the schedule just has money to burn. This team lost to the Jets, and let the Fins hang around far too long, to the Bears will hang around too, and so will the Lions, and one of those teams will all of a sudden find a way to win when this offense goes stale for a quarter (drops, penalties, turnovers, etc. - they're not infallible as we've seen). So they have a few losses coming, just don't know to whom yet. This team could beat the Pats, but lose to the Bears. It's Garrett's Cowboys.

While I believe we have the talent to beat anyone, I think the best we’ll do is 10-6. One thing I do know? I’m bored to tears with SAS, Horseface Sharpe, Rob Parker and a few others with the nonstop “They haven’t played anyone” crap. Look at who New England has played, look at who some of the other “good” or “great” teams have played. Double standards.

Good to get a win, even against a really bad giants team. A win is a win. 5-3 at the half way point- not terrible but that Jets loss makes getting a #2 seed very difficult. Difficult but not impossible.

So with 8 games to go, IMO, in order for this team to have a legit shot to at least advance further than they have since ‘95, they either have to get the #2 seed by going 7-1 down the backside of the season (and get some help) or just get extremely hot as a #4 seed, and win a WC game and a divisional playoff game for the first time in 24 years.

That’s the bottom line for me this season. Be better than they have been the last two decades. Can they do it?

Maybe. But they’re going to have to play a lot better than the last 8 games.

Remaining schedule is tough- Vikes, Pats, Bears, Bills, e-girls, and skins. Those teams combined are 23-10-1. We need to go 7-1.
Time to prove it- contender or pretender.

I think you're expected record to get that #2 seed is right on the money, but I don't see this team doing that. They've squandered a great opportunity to start the season and removed any margin for error. And between the three game losing streak and especially that Jets loss, my confidence in them is shaken to the point where I'm not sure that they even hold off Philadelphia for the division.

Even what on the surface looks like a dominating win was much closer than it should have been, showing the same, inconsistent, up-and-down team that they've been.

7-1 would require far more consistency than I have seen so far

I kept asking myself Monday night, what if we were playing a decent team? That's all I got.

Depends. If the decent team was playing their best we probably lose. If the decent team was playing like crap then we win. If the decent team was playing mediocre then it's a coin flip. Not all decent teams play great every week

I was listening to one of the Cowboys own shows and the hosts were asking that same question, and saying a performance like that gets you beat by a good team.

Maybe not, but I see few that are labeled as inconsistent like the Cowboys are. And when you're the only win that a trainwreck Jets team has, that doubt is earned.

Coincidentally, the Vikings have been called the same, so it will be interesting to see which team can out together the more consistent performance and get a win Sunday night.

This is based on Football Outsiders DVOA, and it's fair to point out that because of injuries, etc. it isn't an exact science. The number is the difference in the average opponents' DVOA rank in the second half of the season compared to the first half.

Easiest Future Schedule
(compared to opp faced so far)
Cle -28
Oak -24
NYG -24
Cin -20
NYJ -15
TB -14
GB -13
Pit -11
KC -10

Hardest Future Schedule

LAC +25
Sea +24
Ten +21
SF +19
Dal +18
Min +14
LAR +12
Ari +10

We’d need the Saints to go 4-4 since we lose tiebreaker. And 49ers to probably go 3-5 or 4-4 depending on tiebreakers . Assuming Packers will go at least 4-3.

Which is much more unlikely than us going 7-1.

We’re pretty much locked into 4th seed assuming we can win division.
