Good to get a win, even against a really bad giants team. A win is a win. 5-3 at the half way point- not terrible but that Jets loss makes getting a #2 seed very difficult. Difficult but not impossible.

So with 8 games to go, IMO, in order for this team to have a legit shot to at least advance further than they have since ‘95, they either have to get the #2 seed by going 7-1 down the backside of the season (and get some help) or just get extremely hot as a #4 seed, and win a WC game and a divisional playoff game for the first time in 24 years.

That’s the bottom line for me this season. Be better than they have been the last two decades. Can they do it?

Maybe. But they’re going to have to play a lot better than the last 8 games.

Remaining schedule is tough- Vikes, Pats, Bears, Bills, e-girls, and skins. Those teams combined are 23-10-1. We need to go 7-1.
Time to prove it- contender or pretender.

Unless we have that black cat every game, Imma go with no.

This team struggled against the Giants. Division Rival or not, we shouldn't have struggled that hard. We aren't going to be able to do this drowsy first half crap when we play teams like the Vikings, Lions, Patriots, etc. because those kinds of teams take advantage of stuff like that.

If Dallas plays well every week they won't lose a game....I don't even really buy that this schedule is tough. Those teams have, 2 total wins against teams with a .500 record? Minny beat Philly and the Pats beat the Bills.

The question is just whether or not Dallas shows up, because none of these teams are special.

Lions? Really? Does it suck to be so bitter and pessimistic all the time? Even the Vikings dont look all that Daunting especially missing Thielen. The Chiefs defense isnt that great and shut them down. We just shut down Barkley, who is better than Cook. No reason we cant shut him down AT HOME.

This is an interesting question;
I think that if the Cowboys beat the Vikings, they could very well do this.
The Vikings are very good, but still shaky with Kirk Cousins. If things go bad early for the Vikings in Dallas, the Cowboys win

This would give them an unbelievable confidence boost, and oddly enough their remaining competitors are struggling- even the Patriots.
I think the Vikings game could hold the key to the season for Dallas.

Wrong. Neither the Vikings or Lions have ever done anything in this league. They could just as easily come out and play like **** too. The only team left on our schedule that will 100% take advantage of drowsy play is the Patriots.

As much as I would love it. With this coaching staff and undisciplined mistake prone players going to be a no until proven otherwise.

Id love to say no and claim im a realist. Lets be honest tho, not a lot of scary teams in the league. yes, if the coaches put their minds to it, they actually could. I still dont know what JJ is thinking tho. lately its just been better to make sure the stadium sells.

I think we can. Is it likely no. I think we can but we have to play our brand of football. We are actually a horrible matchup for NE. Coaching will get the better of us though. I think we go 7-1 with the Pats as our only loss. The bears are an absolute disaster right now, Lions dont play well against teams with winning records (see Staffords record). Bills are the worst 6-2 team in the NFL, Vikings are missing Thielen and our record against Cousins is great. Eagles are a loss away from imploding and the Commanders. Well. Yeah. So i definitely think we can.
